In the context that huns use it, it only ever means either Catholic or Irish, i.e the things they despise about Celtic's background. I've never heard one of them explain about the exact specific origin of fenian as a word before using it in original context.

I find the equivalence of orange and fenian to be quite troubling. The Orange order is overtly a sectarian organisation. Calling someone a fenian bastard is like calling them an Irish/Catholic bastard. Calling someone an orange bastard is more like calling someone a Nazi bastard or some similar thing. It's not really the same thing.
Fenian does not equal catholic.
But it sort of does naw it disney

This was always the crux of the argument for me, fenian in their eyes meant Irish or catholic! and hun for us and every other set of supporters in Scotland meant rangers supporter, and not a Protestant. It’s only since 2012 that the term hun seemed to become classed as sectarian in the media

I'm a protestant & have never been called a hun. Hun = rangers player/supporter, DOB = member of a neo-nazi organisation who like walking about in silly clothes banging big drums.

Maybe if they get a wee bit more money from the deal they can get SKY or BT installed or even employ people on a decent wage rather than rely on day release prisoners to do their maintenance work.

Wonder if king will have anything to say about this?
SPFL insist Murdoch MacLennan's links to Celtic chief Dermot Desmond isn't a conflict of interest MacLennan is a non-executive of Irish media giant INM which is owned by Celtic supermo Desmond but the SPFL say they aren't concerned.
Spoiler: click to toggle ByKeith Jackson SPFL bosses insist league chairman Murdoch MacLennan is not compromised in his role despite being head-hunted by a business with links to Celtic supremo Dermot Desmond. Record Sport can reveal MacLennan has been appointed as non-executive chairman of Dublin based Independent News and Media PLC - an Irish media giant which is part owned by Desmond and his long-term associate Denis O’Brien. News of his role at INM comes just days after Rangers chairman Dave King demanded a top-level SFA probe and the immediate suspension of director Gary Hughes after it emerged he had referred to Ibrox fans as "the great unwashed" in a magazine article 12 years ago. But, while the position of Hughes still hangs in the balance, SPFL top brass are adamant there is no need to for them to investigate MacLennan’s links with Desmond. It’s understood chief executive Neil Doncaster was made fully aware of the MacLennan’s new role which came days after he stood down from a similarly lofty position at the head of the Telegraph Media Group in March this year. In a statement released to Record Sport yesterday an SPFL spokesman said: “Murdoch informed the SPFL board in advance of taking up a board position with Independent News & Media Group of Ireland. “This followed him stepping down from his role as deputy chairman of the Telegraph Media Group. There is no conflict of interest between Murdoch’s role with INM and his role with the SPFL.” Parkhead powerbroker Desmond is INM’s second biggest shareholder with a 15 per cent stake while close pal O’Brien controls just under 30 per cent of the company. O’Brien has been a Celtic shareholder since 2006 when he bought a 2.82 per cent holding from former manager Martin O’Neill. It’s been reported that the billionaire has also pumped around £1million in investments into the club over that time. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/spfl-insist-murdoch-maclennans-links-12612812

Funny that was never metioned nor articles printed...
They really hate anything irish or Tim connected and to be frank - Catholic- anywhere near the boards or runnign anything football wise in Scotland.
Actually pisses me off that the Record think this is a story!!

Motherwell fan at my work who knows people on the board at Motherwell says that Sky are likely to win the SPFL rights. Not that I expect he gave any detail, but I assume this would mean a continuation of the status quo. Simply because I don't see Sky having use for all 60 SPFL live games given where they and the SPFL opt to screen them in their schedule.
So if true what appears most likely is Sky and BT each retaining their 30 games, and Sky retaining all the first picks.
This is what I fear the most. A simple hushed up, undisclosed extension of the existing terms like in previous renegotiations. We get to learn at a much later date that the reality is a token £5m more a year at most offered to the SPFL.
It's a step change that is needed. That's not going to happen with Sky at the helm of the biggest games, and responsible for the production of all the highlights footage, and dictating when the BBC (or anyone else) can and cannot broadcast highlights.

Realistically there is no competition or clamour to aquire the rights.
BT and Sky know that the spfl need them more than the other way round.

The last Super League Grand Final, the biggest game in the calendar, got less than 360,000 viewers.
The average of the last 11 Celtic v Sevco games over the last two seasons is 450,000.
