Had this conversation with my son. He insists that Clarke stated on talksport that his dream job was Celtic. I've no idea how to prove this, but have no reason to doubt my son.
He may well have, I'm sure he's on record as being gutted he didn't get the move as a player but he did grow up supporting Killie. Maybe in a way that some might support Morton as their local side and us or sevco too.
Leave George bowie out this

"The aftermath went on for days with paparazzi following me about. I felt like a caged animal"

Eh?
An outbreak of cages in the streets of Bothwell.
Is that an updated Morrissey lyric?
It's from his album Eye of a Storm.

All seems to be back on the level

Dembele going for £15m
£10m from Hummel to sevco
Sevco only offered Bates a £250pw pay rise as they’re signing another 2 centre half’s

He also goes on to say (in the same sentence no less) that he never showed disrespect to a manager although he might have screamed at Paul Le Guen a wee bit

I want to see Celtic treated like every other club. I want our matches to be officiated fairly, I want our club to be treated with respect by the media and I want our achievements given due credit. The reason those conditions don't prevail is not because we a 'Big Club', or that we have succeeded through some manner of skullduggery: we are singled out because of our heritage and history. Scotland's Shame is it's centuries old antipathy towards Ireland/Catholicism, and pathetic little gestures like denying Brendan Rogers the acclaim he deserves is another manifestation of that antipathy.
Isn’t Stevie Clarke a Celtic man though?

Wouldn’t mind if he won it, although obviously Brendan would deserve it should he get the treble.
In a league with as little prospect for success for most teams have, I do think you need to be a little more sharing with the smaller trophies.

I don’t think any manager looks back on their MOTY awards if they actually won trophies that season.
Henrik Larsson only won the Player of the Month award twice during his time at Celtic. Image in all those years he played for us he was only the most in-form player in 2 of those months. Then there was that farce of a 'joint award' between Hartson and Ricksen.

These awards are an irrelevance. Especially the 'sports writers' variations. If Rodgers wins the Treble he'll more than deserve the award. In fact, even if we lost the final I'd say he's still achieved more than enough this season to merit the award. But I really wouldn't be surprised if Clarke was given it.

Barry getting more like a Swiss Tony hoping the peepul will forget when he deliberately undermined his own manager and generally behaved like a fud - everything is like: playing under PLG and getting blackballed....unfairly.
Rangers lose- reminds him of the time Rangers lost under PLG and he was blamed
Rangers win - reminds him of the time Rangers won under PLG and he wasn't praised enough

Desperately angling for hun acceptance.

Mind a Barca player had never won player of the month in La Liga for about 20 months. Their first player to win it was Neymar. Not a single award for Messi before then.

Perhaps he thinks he is in with a chance of the managers job this time.

Alex Rae interviewed on shortbread for his take on the latest episode in sevconia.
'I think the board have been indecisive '.
interviewer: 'they've just sacked the 2 most senior players in the team, that's pretty decisive Alex'
'maybe I didn't phrase that right'
he spent the rest of the interview stuttering and contradicting himself throughout, trying and failing to sound semi intelligent.
why anyone at the BBC thought this moron could bring any semblance of insight into this, is astounding.
perhaps having an EBT gets you a free pass on the nation's broadcaster.
Alex Rae and the Ferguson chimps are regularly on bbc. You’d get more sense and insight from a couple of garden slugs and a worm.

Worth it for Derek's half time reports on Open All Mics.
