Not sure when the awards are decided but I can’t see Clarke getting any. He’s done well to get Killie up there and has made them hard to beat but they are punching well above their weight and I think come the split it will show.

They will revert back to the normal Killie next season, with or without Clarke at the helm. He only ever does well in his first season anyway.
I beg to differ, having seen every game we've played since he took over.

Punching above our weight is not how I'd describe some of our wins.

We could have and should have won by more than 1 on Saturday and that's been the story in a lot of our games.

Folk say we sit in and hit teams on the break but if that was the case then why did even Celtic only have one shot on target against us last month?

We are sound defensively but I wouldn't say overly. Guys like Jones, Brophy, Kiltie, Erwin etc are not much use at the back!

We play at a high intensity but there's plenty of football being played.
You mentioned earlier about how Clarke had you a whisker away from a chance at the Scottish cup final. You never mentioned how lucky you were at the first round of entry to get past Ross County with a dodgy penalty that even Clarke himself admitted to. Or the County chance at the end that McDonald may have clawed back from over the line. Fine margins.

Apart from a hammering dished out to Partick it’s mostly been very close winning margins and a fair few draws. I’m not denying that Stevie Clarke has done well but it won’t last into next season and im yet to be convinced they can keep it going this season.

Its been posted by many on this very thread on his attitude/manner and total pooh talk on commentary....

Imposter of a Celtic player who really should be revered as pasrt of Centenary Season team by us all...

His utter bull talking on Sky is now thing of pure ersholism. Never sticks up for the club, run ins with our 2nd most successful captain in modern era..plus the fact he literally has no clue during any football ghame he co -commentates on on rules and whats going on.

Then you have his "diving is okay" patter....

Should be chased from the club at every point.

Horrioble wee know it all fud.

(and breathe!)

Diving is okay, it gets players sent off all the time, it sickens the paying fans and it's against the rules, but that's fine. Like you I've heard him wax lyrical about this in the past.

Branding Brown 'pathetic' and Kipre as a victim following an initial crazy mistimed challenge and subsequent lashing out illustrates what a hypocritical effwit he is, a toad bastard.

Smith very non-commital on Murty's future

When Murts was doing well :ponder: the SMSM would have us believe it was down to the quiet chats he was having with the Legned.

Perhaps Smith has been unavIlable the past 10 days or so
What’s the reason this time that the old blowhard has been dragged out to dispense words of wisdom?
And i quote , Celtic have got everything in their favour ,stability and a terrific manager . Rangers have to meet that task,i don't think anything this season has made celtic too concerned . I hate to use these 2 words ... natural order has been celtic winning"

Press awards, like winning goldfish at the fair - you don't really want them, in fact nobody does and they die and are forgotten before you even get home.

Time will tell.

I'm fairly confident our season won't die on it's arse and also that we'll be a strong side next season.

Obviously not the form from the past 15 games as it's the best in the league but comfortable mid table at least which is a vast improvement on where we've been at.

A lot of dead wood to get rid of (Stevie Smith et al) so we'll see what the summer brings.

If Clarke can make Broadfoot and Boyd look like players (and he has) he should be in line for some kind of award. Maybe the RSPCA gives out something appropriate.

The problem with these awards is what they compare us to. We should be clean slate every season and judged on the merits of this season alone. There's no doubt Clarke has done a quite incredible job at killie (so far). But nothing can come close to winning a treble.

Sadly, we will be compared to last season. Which is a once in a lifetime season. And this will skew the opinion.

The year Amoruso won POTY instead of Mjallby, Keith Jackson ran his campaign for him. Sure it was the “cooking with Amo” that sealed it.

What year was that? I never rated him at all the. Bombscare.

Larsson should really have won it every year apart from his leg break, as well as burley and mcnamara done for us in 97/98.
