Have none of the journos in this country ever accused Aberdeen fans of sectarianism when they call sevco ‘huns’ or Dundee fans or St J fans?

I know quite a few who do - and none of the are catholic either

They will talk about playing the Tims - generally never say fenian - Tims yes

They’re not being sectarian either when they say it

The campaign to outlaw ‘hun’ is just a desperate attempt to equate language - when their (sevco) vocabulary is genuinely full of anti Irish names for us - they need a word for their whataboutery
I enjoyed singing go home ya huns on Saturday.

Celtic = Tims
Rangers = Huns

Think that's the same for 99% of non Rangers or Celtic fans. I know it is for Killie fans.

Rob Maclean says Clarke for manager of the year this year on BBC site/column...same Mackean that said after 2 games Dorrans should be in Scotland squad back in Sept/October.

Clarke had done well in what 4/5 months at Killie but ffs Brendan ready to do a first ever in Scottish football double treble......whilst losing 2 domestic games all season so far.

Really?

Our performance level this season has not been as good as last but bottom line is gaffer getting Champions League football and in europe after christmas coupled with domestic results being good merit MOY. Again think Clarke has done well but far and way IMO gaffer deserves it.

These things are always relative. If it's all the leagues you could make a real case for Jack Ross. Obviously Brendan is the best manager in the country (with Lennon a close second who must also be in with a shout), but in terms of what they've achieved, I'd say it's between those three and Clarke. Any of the four would be fair.

Old argument is we have the biggest budgets and finances and I understand we are at a fairly chunky advantage but domestically gaffer has been put under any sort of pressure last 20 months he has swatted it away quite literally.

Historic reasons of double treble and fact he is potentially going to win 3 trophies again means it has to be him . i respect Clarkes few months in job and a great turnaround but gaffer should be a shoe in.

Lenny has came up short against so called smaller teams at times and table reflects that. Ross has done a great job but again its
the second tier and ..may ge wrong but cannot recollect anyone winning MOY from league below.

Wish people would stop talking about the “double treble” as though it was a mere formality. We know from experience that once you start counting trophies before they’re won, you end up with egg on your face.

Kenny Shiels was 1st Kilmarnock manager to beat huns twice in the same season and also went on to win League Cup v us.

Do you think he deserved to win it?

(He didn’t win it)

It's not just about beating rangers. The improvement in killie has been astounding. I thought back in August they were likely to go down. Done a great job. Jack Ross a shout too.

Should be decided at the end of the season as there's no way a balanced judgement can be made right now.

I would agree with that. Think it was 2009 that strachan got pfa moty and broon poty, yet the huns done the double.

It's been a great five months but to qualify as manager of the year it makes sense that you'd at least have to have been in the job for a season. If Rodgers wins a double treble and doesn't win manager of the year it would be an absolute joke.
