12 fans invited to walk down the tunnel tomorrow and stand beside Scott Brown as he says a few words about receiving the award before the game tomorrow.

Meanwhile the guys responsible for winning the award will be outside filling up vans with donations for the food-bank.

I wonder what fans will put themselves forward :ponder:
To be fair, we were invited to take part just like we were invited to go to the awards ceremony.

This year’s annual Green Brigade food drive will take place before the match at home to Kilmarnock on Saturday 28th October. This will be the 5th consecutive year we have organised a collection at Celtic Park, and the food donations have made a massive difference to the people of Glasgow and beyond at what is always a difficult time of the year for so many.

We have invited a total of 8 food banks from different parts of Glasgow to bring vans on the day, and we will be raising money to be distributed to others across Scotland in the hope that we can help as many families as possible in the run up to Christmas.

Suggested items include coffee, tea, sugar, biscuits, UHT milk, tinned soup as well as male and female toiletries. There will be various buckets at each collection point for any monetary donations.

We will once again be looking to donate some of the money raised to Scottish Action for Refugees (SAFR) who continue to support ‘Hand in Hand for Syria’, and are again running a winter clothes appeal. Funding will help to send a shipment of warm clothes to displaced people in Syria who need them most. Whilst the refugee crisis has less media coverage than ever, there are still thousands of innocent people facing another winter in extreme conditions. Please donate what you can.

We as a support have proved time and again how much of a positive impact we can make to the lives of those who need a little help, and since our inception in 1888, have refused sit by and let our communities go hungry. This initiative has become an important part of that and we are always grateful for any donations received, no matter how big or small.

“A football club will be formed for the maintenance of dinner tables for the children and the unemployed.”

If you're going tomorrow, bring a bag of food for those who need it most.

That's actually very fair, surprising too given what most on here would think the boards opinion/relationship is with you guys, so great to see that they were treating you the way you deserve

It pisses me off the way some folk always have to find a negative in anything good.
I share your pain. Especially as posters on here are always so appreciative and respectful of the achievements of other teams.

Congrats to Celtic on the award. The power to vote on the internet is truly a wonderful gift. It's good to see that people made full use of it.

The 50th anniversary tifo was impressive. I'm convinced that there is no truth whatsoever in the mischievous, malevolent and scurrilous notion that it was possibly inspired, or even influenced in the slightest, by similar displays elsewhere in Europe earlier in the year.

In the same vein, the directors will have been extremely proud and honoured to accept the award and would have made full use of the opportunities it presented to spend time in London exploring that city's myriad attractions.

So it's entirely inconceivable that they, or anyone on here, will feel the slightest twinge of envy towards a certain English club who earned over £70 million (more than Real Madrid) during last season's run in the Champions League.
Why do you even bother?

Ban this clown ffs

there won't be much of that 70m left in 2 years time when you are back home in the championship.

you have achieved nothing in europe and never will.

a joke of a club which is fitting because it plays in a joke of a city.

Largely excellent article in the Scotsman by Brian Wilson.

http://www.scotsman.com/news/opinion/brian-wilson-it-s-time-to-stop-blaming-the-game-and-the-fans-for-society-s-ills-1-4597536

Nearly every Scottish rag has used the FIFA award to scoff at the Celtic support and list our fines from UEFA. Wilson gives a different picture - 860 000 fans watched Celtic last season. There were 12 arrests. Out of that 12, only 5 were actually charged.

"57% of hate crimes in Scotland last year were against Catholics, almost none of them were anywhere near a football ground."

He describes that as, "an obnoxious statistic."
