The boy was a tit for running on the park but the cries for public naming and shaming are unpalatable imo. He's being dealt with by the courts. No need for anyone to take a swing at him either, leave the stewards and police to do their job.
One of the functions of the court is effectively naming and shaming. It is one reason why criminal justice is generally open.

We're rightly criticising the young(ish) bam who ran on the park, but a 61 year old guy punching him? carrot should know better.
Understandable reaction to be fair.

He was fined £400 for it
how is it an understandable reaction in any way?

Heightened emotions. Disappointment at how the game is going.
Realisation that the actions of the wee twerp were going to get his club in trouble.

Not difficult to understand really.

Idiot attacks, or tries to, a player on the park watched by millions and it's not an understandable reaction? The noise from the crowd directed towards the idiot showed what the fans thought of him. Didn't expect anyone to smack him at the game but did once his name was known.

Still don't understand why the wee fanny was taken right in front of the standing section in order to be huckled out. Seemed very odd.

I'll remove my tinfoil hat now

absolutely baffling. epsecially when its some of those (not you) that get themselves worked up in such a state about daft flags and songs inside the ground yet somehow find violence at the games worth celebrating

this guy wasnt shouting abuse in the heat of the moment as the clown was taken off the park. he was coming back from a piss down in the concourse and hooked somebody in police custody and you consider that an "understandable reaction"?

That's a fair bit removed from the reality and emotion of the situation.

An old guy swinging a punch at someone who's already been huckled is asking to also be huckled.

I think a lifetime ban from Celtic Park, your face and name being plastered all over social media, an impending court case, your friends and family all shunning you through complete embarrassment just might be punishment enough.

its not. if anything the guy in the concourse was the one away from the reality and emotion of the situation rather than those at the touchline giving the boy deserved pelters

I'd just like to say he deserved a punch but not whilst being held and unable to defend himself but I fully expected someone to have a pop at him eventually just not that soon.

Utter moron who has no one to blame but himself and I have no idea why he targeted Mbappe? :ponder:

The guy's apologised for getting the old guy into trouble, so no point getting vexed on his behalf.

He's also been banned from every ground in Britain, whereas the old guy hasn't been banned from any. Invading a pitch and attempting to boot an opposition player in front of TV cameras is way more stupid than someone trying to hit someone who did so. It's not even debatable.
