The toerag ran - was allowed to run - from the stand to beyond the half way line, from the most heavily stewarded & policed area of the ground. That should not be possible if security are doing their jobs properly, and that must be investigated.

I'd imagine he's not a season ticket holder, so with only ST holders being able to buy tickets (in theory, anyway) the guy who got it for him ought to be spoken to. WTF is it with these big match tourists getting so pished out their box they can't control themselves? Arseholes.
Chat on twitter he is a season ticket holder.
Soon to be was a season ticket holder.

Even more of a roaster then. Random fandans who turn up once in a blue moon have much less to lose than a ST holder. :cuckoo:

Why are so many folk who are totally pished allowed in anyway, particularly at midweek games?
It's not always easy to tell how drunk someone is and even if you can, they're not breaking any laws. What about a guy who goes in pished but is one of those happy and cheerful drunks? How do you discern between who's drunk and wants to cause trouble and who's drunk but just wants to watch the game?

By the by, did he run out from the standing section? It looked like he came from behind the goals from where I was sitting.

At any rate, a horrible, nasty, arsehole that will no doubt get a lifetime ban.

Pretty sure he came from 112-113 which is to the corner of the GB section (NOT their section). When he was eventually nabbed the crowd were howling at him and the rocket then challenged a few to a square go. He was led to the exit at the GB section and a few lads confronted him (even with the polis surrounding him). One lad tried to lay a few on him from above the exit (actually thought he was going to fall over :lol: ) Was a bit of a stramash at the exit as the police tried to shield the lad from getting leathered. Indeed the police were going to lift another boy who confronted him.

There was no hint of trouble around the ground. I walked along the side of PSG fans coming up and there was lots of banter going on.

I'm at back of the stand so always last out. PSG fans were all singing Celtic and throwing their scarves - not my thing but loads of the kids were into it.

In general I think the atmosphere was great before the kick-off but first half we were pretty muted. 2nd half we realised that game was over but we're going to show PSG what it means to have a support that remains behind the team. GB and LL lower did well to show some support.

They are breaking laws.

"The existing controls mean that it is an offence to:

Be in possession of alcohol or a controlled container in a designated ground for designated events or attempt to take alcohol in to a designated ground for a designated event;
Attempt to enter while drunk, or be drunk in, a designated ground for a designated event;
Carry or consume alcohol on a coach or train specifically hired for the carrying for supporters to a designated event at a designated ground.
drink in corporate areas overlooking the field of play* unless the blinds are closed or curtains drawn (but does allow, subject to a licence being granted, drinking in hospitality areas in the grounds of the stadium and in the stadium car parks).
* During the relevant period of a designated event which is the period commencing two hours before the start and ending one hour after the end of a designated sporting event."

Charged by UEFA over that knobhead running onto the pitch.

If you're reading this, Brendan Rodgers thinks you're a carrot.
The players think you're a carrot.
The fans think you're a carrot.

there's trouble of sorts at every large scale gathering, but your post was scaremongering / gross exaggeration that is typical of a hun / the media, which is probably why you were called out for it.

And how are the security team supposed to know who has a bottle and who doesn't? They can't search everyone.

How do you establish when someone is 'officially' drunk and when they're not quite there yet? The law is vague at best.

Security staff can be blamed for letting the guy get past them at the pitch but saying they're to blame for people like that getting through the gates in the first place is ridiculous. They have 60k to manage with only a couple of hundred staff. It's inevitable that people will slip through that shouldn't be allowed.

Mate your initial statement sounded like there was fighting around the stadium between a number of fans. What your follow up post suggests is an isolated incident with 2 fans. Not unheard of on European nights when folk have been bevvying all day.

Guy ran on the park and tried to kick an opposition player.

As he was escorted people tried to get to him and a few people were chucked out in the process.

Another incident where a fan got knocked out cold.

I don't really understand where the gross exaggeration is. This doesn't happen often - certainly not at CP.

Been on here 13 year, played 5s, designed the original KDS football team logo etc and there are guys I've never heard of calling me a Hun. Finally made it :clap: :clap:

The tweets I've seen are saying that he was punched by another fan. The snapchat screenshots made it sound like that as well. :ponder:

Eh? I didn't make any of those arguments you're attempting to counter. You said they're not breaking laws being drunk in or around a football match. They are.

Has it been proven that the guy who ran onto the pitch was the 'real' season ticket holder.

Some people give ST's to their mates or tickets for season ticket holders to their mates.

There are also supporters buses who have several season tickets for general use?

Fair enough. But going back to my original point, it can be difficult to establish if someone actually is drunk. The line between drunk and sober is somewhat arbitrary and blaming staff for the guy getting into the stadium (which is what the original discussion was about) is unfair.
