Logan ignored it for the best part of two months. I’m confident Celtic, and the police, would have held a full and thorough investigation into this matter back in May if only he had deemed it important enough to bring up then.

Right now the only evidence of racist abuse is the claims of a guy who, if you look at his social media activity, clearly has a chip on his shoulder when it comes to Celtic and our supporters. In two months no other witnesses have said anything to back up his claims and no videos of the incident have emerged. We’re being asked to believe the word of a man who was acting like a complete arsehole that day, and in the days after it.
If there's no evidence, it's an easy one for the club to respond to- after an investigation. But they should not ignore it.
Neither Logan or Aberdeen appear to have made an official complaint. Until they do, Celtic should treat this as a known attention seeker making unsubstantiated claims to an inherently biased newspaper.

He has said he was racially abused by the fans when he was sent off on the last day and that he 'expects' it at CP.

I wouldn't rule it out since there are arseholes in any support although I would hope that at CP any flare ups would slapped down or (better) reported to the stewards.
Plenty of racists at CP . Had personal experience of it on more than one occasion
It's entirely possible a lone voice shouted something stupid and racist at him while he was acting the fud/throwing punches/being sent off.

Over all the noise at the time it's highly unlikely this loan voice would have been heard by him. Even less likely he would take 2 months to mention it on his constant twitter posting. He says he's come to accept it at Celtic park. A complaint made by no other player and something totally unwitnessed by any of us.

On balance this is definitely bullshampoo.

I just reckon it's an ugly one to get into.

My thoughts at the time were the SFA took the easy way out & sided with Logan because anything else would have made them look bad. Not believing him would have been seen to be condoning racism. Could be wrong, but I'm sure that's how the SFA viewed it.

As I recall, the media were delighted by the outcome & were also happy to stick the boot into us for believing Tonev.

He should be called out, but I just reckon this will bring us some very negative attention.

Let someone else follow it up & if he's outed as a liar, we can comment thereafter.
I couldn't disagree more. If there is an allegation of racial abuse at CP then unless the club asks him to speak up so they can investigate it, all the "club open to all... " "show racism the red card" etc becomes so much tokenism.

I personally cannot stand the wee guy, not because he's black but because he behaviour is highly objectionable. That said, I don't want racism at CP and it's the clubs duty to put its house in order if such is needed.

Yes I know that this has happened (and probably continues and will continue to happen) to our players at other grounds and go uninvestigated, but the standards of Celtic shouldn't be set at their level.

Edit: spelling

Yep, heard racist comments on more than a few occasions at CP, we have our fair share of wallopers in our support.

It's worth bearing in mind that Logan was escorted, physically, off the pitch by an Aberdeen official and a police officer. It simply defies belief that he heard racial abuse and they, or the many other people, cameras, microphones around, didn't. But the real smoking gun that he made this up is the fact that he's already received a punishment for his behaviour and neither he or his club mentioned it at that time.

Not when our supporters names are being dragged through the mud. We’ve got black and mixed race players in our squad too. SRTRC have also defended the claims as if they’re gospel.

Our board are simply weak in this regard.

They’ve more or less kept quiet on everything the Huns have thrown at us too.

Maybe, we’re part of this 5 way agreeement pish

Logan: As a SA judge once remarked-

He is a mendacious witness whose evidence should not be accepted on any issue unless it is supported by objective evidence.

I’d suggest the same rules apply to the wee scumbag a-hole

I ended up reading about the Tonev incident again.

It's still incredible he was found guilty of such a serious accusation on the back of nothing more than "well, Logan said it, so it must be true".

Not one person, even one of his own teammates, heard what Tonev was supposed to have said.

He also got marks for presentation on the way he went about complaining.
