So Gerrards first game as Sevco manager against Celtic will be at Celtic park with only 800 sevco fans in attendance. An early chance to really demoralise them.

I don’t think it will happen.

Seems to be a ploy by King to frontload an extra 6000 season tickets, then In September, he’ll reimburse the 6k the money they will end up losing by forfeiting the 2 games to us. He’ll claim it’s a Police decision and out with his control.

Billy gets suckered again

They are playing to the gallery. As they have done since they died. It's their 'strategy' to keep the Bears onboard. We can see that it's the opposite from a proper strategy and only demonstrates their 'small time' approach. But their support will lap it up. Whatever.

I feel for the fans who go to all the away games, but in reality it's an irrelevance. We will reciprocate, as we have done, but our focus is on far more important things. We are developing an organisation to develop and evolve in the face of a challenging football environment so that we continue to enjoy success in 5, 10 and 20 years time. They are working furiously to keep the lights on till next week.

At some stage you think they will stop being the gift that keeps on giving. But thankfully that day is still a long way off, if it is ever to arise. Just because the power in Scottish football has swayed back and forward for a century does not mean it will ever return to them. Their support need to realise that before the charlatans finally kill off their club. Or not. I would not miss them and neither would society on the whole.

I have asthma and it certainly affected me when they were let off at a friendly at Firhill where I was right in the thick of it. I had to cover my face with my scarf, I also had to use my reliever inhaler. I've asked many times on here about whether the GB think of people with respiratory conditions when they launch these smokebombs but have have yet to receive an answer. I can only assume from this that they do not think of people with these conditions and, for me, this is very selfish. I am a fan of their TIFO displays, I'm not a fan of anything that can put other supporters at risk.

Letting them off on the Celtic Way was just stupid given how congested it was. Had anything caught fire, the panic could have caused a crush.
Fair play to you, Roseanne.
After all that excitement of winning the Scottish Cup and the treble, you walked from Hampden to Celtic Park.
Then stood among thousands crushing together and survived being gassed with a smoke bomb from an alleged GB member and diesel fumes from that 40 year old open air bus.
And all that with a couple of puffs from a blue inhaler.
Your a super star.
Can you please point out where I mentioned using my inhaler on the Celtic Way? No, I thought not. :)

Also can you explain what my walking from Hampden to Celtic Park has to do with this issue? You do know that exercise and keeping fit can help asthma don't you?

You did get one thing right. Winning the double treble is exciting. Bloody exciting. It doesn't give anyone the right to do anything that could potentially compromise fan safety.

My first match against this crowd was January 1988 when McAvennie scored 2. They had the whole East Terrace and a wee corner of the main stand, I think they got about 18,000 tickets. The atmosphere was electric, I stood on the West Terracing (never liked the Jungle) and the place just roared and rumbled. Though you didn't like them you knew the match needed both sets of fans there to generate the game and scenario. I loved the atmosphere even when they beat us a few times at home in the 90's. When we were getting humped you just roared at them and the 4 - 2 defeat at home in January 94 still annoys me. Even then I had a few Rangers work mates and we still seemed to get on then BUT to be honest that has all stopped now. There is a nasty, vitriolic atmosphere at games now and a totally poisonous context and I blame them totally for it. They did wrong with the EBT's but still blame anyone and everyone else for this especially us. Even fans of Abderdeen, Hibs, Dundee Utd etc have commented on their venom. The decision to cut our ticket allowance at the Bigot Dome doesn't surprise me and we should batten down the hatches for a long, drawn out scenario but we will prevail; they are skint with a convicted felon in charge of them. It's not even a contest. HAIL HAIL!

The wee guy bouncing on the cop car has been arrested for it. Bunch of carrots.
Can't have much complaints in fairness.
A bit of discretion from the cops wouldn't go amiss tho considering. Plus he's 15.

I remember sitting in the main stand early 80's (my old man had to go into the main stand due to being an 'old man').

'The great unwashed' fans sat in the last few columns of the stand with no gap between us & them and I never saw any trouble, until leaving the ground and then back to normality for the early 80's :boxer:

Absolute joke. Evidence, if any were needed, that football supporters get treated like shampoo. And that the SNP are partial to a wee bit of heavy-handed authoritarianism.
