A desperate move to keep in with the crackpots in their support, using supposed season ticket demand as an excuse. I don’t believe they’ve sort as many as they say they have.

What're they going to do when their day to day fans don't turn up towards the end of the season because they're getting humped by all and sundry ?
They're down 8000 right away from us  how're they going to cover that shortfall?

Fantastic news, only a few hundred Sevconian bigots will be in Paradise for Glasgow derbies now

http://www.celticfc.net/news/14458

An unprecedented Double Treble and historic season for the Club has led to a phenomenal level of demand from supporters to be part of Celtic.

We are happy to reciprocate in terms of ticket allocation, something which will give us the opportunity to meet this huge demand to visit Celtic Park.

They can hide behind whatever pish story or statement they want, they are desperate for the short term cash income pre season. If they had kits to sell this wouldn't be an issue.

3 weeks after their "beggars belief" St Atement they must be truly struggling to pay the bills

I think they charge £50 for Celtic supporters visiting the bigot dome . 8000 x£50 = £400.000
Rangers supporters probably paying £28 x 8000 =£224.000 . That’s a healthy financial boot in the baws for them .
The poor face painter will never see his money. They’ll maybe need to step up the tax dodging ! In saying that maybe they haven’t worked it out yet.

As might be expected, the hun has not exactly thought this through. They have no option but to give us that corner, with its set capacity of 800.

There is no such restriction at Celtic Park. Here's hoping we find a way of giving them section 120 only at CP, something that must be about 80% RV tickets. On its own can only be about 500 tickets tops, and not visible at all to TV cameras from the normal camera position.

Edit: also no doubt we'll sell 4,500 more season tickets too at an average of about 300 quid on average. £1.35m in the coffers, plus whatever can be raised from the price rise on a special season ticket. This is as opposed to the mere £800,000 we take in from ticket sales from them.

Also means lower police bills by a substantial amount you'd imagine.

Yeah, they were saying on SSB our allocation will be down from 9,000 to 800.
They're truly desperate.

I hope Celtic reduce the price to what we charge the other clubs. £29.50? Sell at this price to our home fans with special season books and the away fans. Make it accessible for the families and kids in 115-118 who will be the ones seeking tickets.

Rangers will unlikely reciprocate and they'll be charging weans £50 a pop.

I genuinely think we are at saturation point in terms of attendance and both clubs will take a hit. We can afford it. They can't

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Is a debate where you're looking for evidence to ban smoke bombs looking at this from the wrong perspective? They're illegal, I'd have thought that if anything required evidence it'd be to persuade everyone that they're safe and should be permitted.

"it's against the law to enter a football ground carrying fireworks, flares, or any sort of pyrotechnics, and anyone doing so faces three months in jail."
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-35402735
lots of things are illegal, but we do them anyway!!
The cubicles on Saturday had queues outside them - guys waiting to have a snort as evidenced by the amounts of silver foil lying around.
Taking bottles into the ground - I always take a bottle of water in with me as Celtic charge the same for a water as they do for a coke (which is overpriced).
And the smell of dope can be overpowering as well at times.

I have no issues with smoke bombs / flares at football matches and think they add to the atmosphere - my initial query was basically - do asthmatics really suffer when smoke bombs are let off or are the holier than thou brigade just assuming they do as a justification to have a moan at something they don't like?

I've already stated my son, who is asthmatic, doesn't appear to be affected and wondered if it was really a big deal or just something for people to moan about.
Depends on the type/ severity of the asthma

If you ever venture onto FF you'd know that their fans have been campaigning for this for a while now - they can't stand us lording it over them and partying - strange that they never appeared to have a problem with our numbers when they were beating us.
I'd do what Ajax / Feyernord do and ban away fans for the derby games - I'd rather not have any of them at CP
