Hopefully, it’s not too painful an experience for the family members and they leave convinced it’s perfectly safe and acceptable to be introduced across the game in the UK.

Hopefully, witnessing the GB puts a smile on their face and I’m sure they’ll receive a warm welcome from all of our supporters, as they always do.

Nae pressure Tarzan

The Green Brigade will be holding a bucket collection outside Celtic Park before the match against Ross County on Saturday 31 March, 2018 to raise funds.

Despite a historic victory for the Celtic support at Parliament on Thursday, our legal bill continues to mount. Group members are currently facing more than 40 charges under the Act and other legislation, for alleged crimes ranging from wearing supposedly offensive t-shirts to singing about where the police can shove their cameras. Meeting these costs makes it increasingly difficult for us to fund the tifos that have become such an integral part of big matches at Celtic Park, Hampden and elsewhere over the past 12 years, improving the atmosphere and inspiring the team on the park.

Throughout that time and many difficulties, we have been able to count on the support and solidarity of our fellow Celtic fans and without you many of the iconic actions of the past - including full stadium displays for our club's 125th anniversary and to celebrate the Lisbon Lions 50 years after their triumph in the European Cup final - would not have been possible, and we are now asking you to help ensure our tifo work continues as our team marches on to 10 in a row. All donations, little and large, will be greatly appreciated.

For those who won't make the game, you can make a donation by PayPal at greenbrigade@hotmail.co.uk.

Apparently the police will try and prevent this from happening tomorrow

Ironic when you consider it's to help with our legal battles.

How can they stop it if the club consent to the collection being done?

I think you need a permit. Possibly charitable status is an issue as well. If Celtic let them do it the other side of turnstyle that may be a way around it.

You used to need a licence, but seemingly not anymore. On any one day there’s loads of charities collecting, the police never seem to hassle them.

I’m sure with other charities they get the clubs permission to raise funds on the stadium grounds, I’m guessing the GB have done similar. If so I can’t see any issues as you have football clubs etc doing it and they don’t have to be a charity.

Can a proper PayPal link be put up that goes to PayPal or something? When I hit that email all it does is try to send an email. I assume that I'm meant to log into PayPal and then put in that email as a beneficiary? :(

there's someone in our Marketing DFept who knows how to tug at the heart strings. That ad, on the back of the recent Christmas ones make me want to buy anything they want me to. Very well done, very clever and devious.

Didn’t think Police Scotland would be supportive of standing sections but reading this thread would suggest they are.

Don’t know if these are Green Brigade guys.... but the forthcoming repeal of OBAF etc Act is not stopping ongoing cases

That argument basically laughed out of court by Sheriff Reid ...along with some other “challenges” to the Act
