Excellent to hear the OBFA is no more. Massive credit must go to Jeanette Findlay and others in the FAC group who have dedicated so much to getting this bill out on its arse.

Brilliant news. An absolute shambles of an act.

Has anyone actually been successfully convicted under it? Can any convictions be overturned?

After the dust-up last year about season tickets being used by other folk, anyone have any thoughts on whether a couple of people from overseas who will be borrowing season cards for a game will have any issues getting in to CP? Asking for a friend ...

Cards are for main stand, full freight if that makes any difference.
If it's Adults going in with Adult season cards there will be no problem at all.
Cheers.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
there's no real demand for tickets- we do not have 52,000 fans willing to attend every game - we do have 52,000 willing to attend the big games, but in order to ensure they get to those games, they need to buy a ST.
I've always said CP is too big - we should have made it a 50,000 stadium as that's more than adequate for the majority of home games

Wow.

So that's the home variation of the argument that people only buy away tickets "to keep up their records for the big games".

Strange how some struggle with the concept that others actually want to go and watch Celtic.

who are these fans who want to go and see Celtic, but can't get tickets? There are always plenty of empty seats at CP, apart from the scum games and CL nights (even the qualifiers and the Europa League rarely sell out). There is no serious demand for tickets, we don't have 60,000 wanting to go every week.

Also, brilliant news that the OBFA has been repealed, but also kind of a shame, I wanted to be a part of the test case for overseas enforcement against Demsey's.

Brilliant news about the OBFA

Hope all the lads that have had their lives turned upside down because of this can now rest a bit easier.

Also if there is any pending charges under this act then i hope they will be immediately dropped.

Without turning the thread into a pissing up the wall political competition.

Salmond, Sturgeon, McAskill et all including anyone else from other parties who voted this into law in the first place should be hanging their heads in shame.

Congratulations to all involved. A ludicrous law drawn up by people who never go to football and honestly believe that "sectarianism" never existed in Scotland before football.

It was flawed as eff. How many Hearts, Hibs, Killie fans got charged under it? Hearts away especially can be as bad as sevco.

Why only football? Why not rugby? Its not like rugby fans are angels. Why not at marches?
