Absolute joke of a decision celtic

What is the 'decision' ?

Is it different in any way to the current requirements ?

Will it make any difference at all to you ?

The principle of the letter is ridiculous.

Going down the route of folk having to use secondary sellers to use season tickets. Absolute joke.

Did we all get different letters ?

:ponder:

My letter didn't mention secondary sellers.

Lots of people becoming very precious over this. Nothing has changed nor will anything change over this.
It's the principle. If you pay 600 quid for a season ticket and can't make the odd game and want to pass the ticket to your pal the that should be allowed. Like if you can't make a gig that you've paid upfront for but pass the ticket on. The club has the money. They are doing themselves out of money.

I'm sure the money spent by "part time" fans in the superstore or kiosk equal more than empty seats.

It didn't mention it. Man United started this way a few years ago and now all their tickets are handled through secondary sellers and if you miss home games you are ineligible for away games.

This is the board misjudging the support. Again.

It is allowed. All you have to do is contact the ticket office, name the person you are giving it to and pay the £20 fee.

Also to add, CSCs who buy a number of tickets and dish them out amongst fans who can't go.

If celtic hold fans to this the stadium will be nowhere near full most weeks.

Lucky if we had 20k on Wednesday.

Exactly. 20 quid? Joke. Should be free.

Money making exercise to exploit fans.

Celtic can't guarantee the schedule at the start of the season so why should fans be punished for not attending?

The season ticket holder should get the 20 quid back. Not the club. The club aren't actually doing anything for the 20 quid.
We have automated turnstiles ffs.

As people have said on here it happens all the time. It even happens for guys who buy a season ticket with the express intention of sharing it with their pal. The club have no intention of "cracking down". The letter is a cover their back exercise.

Aye, but that's a self-fulfilling prophecy. It only becomes a data protection issue BECAUSE Celtic make the ticket non-transferable.

GDPR goes away as a factor (in this situation) if the ticket is allowed to be transferred.
Not aware of any checks. What side of the turnstile are you talking about?
There are lights above the turnstile within the stadium which light up when the ST is presented to the scanner. Think its green for adult ST and amber for concession ST. The stewards are meant to monitor them to ensure the correct light is lit in accordance with fan entering the stadium.

Quick question - I’ll be taking a concession to the Aberdeen game using my mates adult ticket. The stewards won’t react to that eh? Only the other way about, an adult gaining entry with a concession ticket

Was lucky enough to get the opportunity to take along the wee man to the game the other night when two books became available free - in future would that cost £40 just for letting celtic know me and the wee man we’re borrowing soneone’s Books for the night.

Technically they should as it's a clear breach of t&c's but they won't. I would surmise that Celtic have to date instructed stewards only to act when an adult uses a concession ticket. Certainly only examples I have heard of anyone being caught was this.

If you are concerned try the lounge entrances at corner of north stand at either ll or js stand. Make of that what you will...
You don't need a lounge pass to access these turnstiles.

All I find interesting is the euro upgrade and sevco. The to dont ask for details of who will be using the ticket, so what happens if that doesnt work at turnstile and they attend the ticket office? Do the ts and cs advise who can specifically upgrade these tickets?

JP's doing a wee bit of backtracking on Twitter. Says it's mainly down to the adult/concession thing and it should have been worded differently. Think the ticket manager woman has gone a wee bit above herself and it's backfired. Apologised for any upset caused.

We have automated turnstiles ffs.
Out of curiosity, who do you think pays for the installation and upkeep of the turnstiles?

I've used other people's tickets countless times over the last 20 years and never once had an issue. I got the letter through my door despite having never once had someone use my current season ticket.

Obviously the more people going to the games, the higher likelihood that there are people passing on their ticket when they can't use it.

Where have they mentioned secondary seller? They haven't outlined the exact reason behind why they sent the letter, which they probably should have, but I honestly can't understand the outrage over this letter.

Edit: Reading popeyed above, I am both shocked that Celtic have made an arse of it and that people have jumped in with two feet. Point still stands.

The only people this letter will affect are:

People bumping the club out of money by letting adults use a concession ticket
People who give their tickets to fannies who cause bother.

Business as usual for the rest. Celtic just making it clear you are responsible for your season ticket.

Can we get back to moaning about not signing a center half?

I'd say there is a wide range of reasons why the letter has been sent out tbh.

Adults entering with concession tickets
Fans with other peoples tickets causing bother
Tickets for Bayern appearing on stub hub etc for 3-4x the price
Ques of folk at TO before a CL game this season because of turnstile issues and a lot of them weren't the named season ticket holder which meant it took ages to sort out and some fans missed the start of the game

It's a general letter letting people know that you are responsible for your ticket. If you give it to an arsehole and they cause bother your ticket will be removed. Like you said - I can't believe the outrage over it either. All Celtic are doing is covering their own backs
