I don’t want to change a thing about the atomosphere or how we treat opposition supporters (not incl. huns) I just resent that it’s all we’re becoming known for.

That is hopefully on the cusp of changing.

Let some blind dudes in for free as long as they join in with the singing
is that meant to be funny :brickwall:
I don't really understand the harm in it - why are you falling over yourself to be offended on behalf of other people (who probably wouldn't bother their arse about the comment) ?

It's literally what Celtic do with the rows behind the Celtic dugout.

Does anyone find the opposition praising the atmosphere a bit patronizing? Especially after comments about not playing Muller unless it was Real Madrid. Would rather it was our players being praised.
Have to say I do.

Im getting a bit tired of the media and to an extent our fans salivating how great an atmosphere it is. I think we need to concentrate more on getting a result.

Contradicting myself a tad as on post match thread I did mention the atmosphere was great but this media hunt after a game from any visiting fan/player/ official about how wonderful it is getting a tad tiresome...I want us to b e rememberd for stuffing teams and winning games.

Im still not overr the result all the same.

:brickwall:
I'm not overly keen on all the praise or backslapping but at the same time don't underestimate the effect the atmosphere has.

I've absolutely no doubt that the atmosphere gave the team a boost to be able to perform like they did which proves the importance of the atmosphere and the role fans have to play.

The way we look at it is we have a job to do in the stands. We can only do so much to help the team on the park, so long as we do our part then the rest is in their hands.
Spot on.

One of our supporters ran on and tried to volley a PSG player, right? I didn't just imagine that? Not sure how much more intimidating we can go. Firearms, maybe.
That's just silly we don't all have access to guns, blades however. :suspect:

We could have the front 2/3 rows around the stadium moon en masse and slap their arses whilst everyone else makes the ear to ear motion and chanting "we're going to get you' or some other threatening chant. Players shouldn't be smiling when the CL tune is going it's not on.

Why the eff did so many people applaud Robben off the park?

eff him.
He was loving the atmosphere though.

So was I.

But nobody applauded me when I left at the end.

I sit to the right behind the blind section - on Tuesday night the Bayern subs were playing keepie up at half time and one of them thumped the ball high in the air and it looked like it was going to land in the blind section (landed just behind) - I was wondering if they've ever been hit by a clearance as they wouldn't be able to see the ball coming to avoid it hitting them.

I now have a vision of a bunch of Celtic fans with headphones on over one ear only like a bunch of pop stars belting out Grace. Think Bono in the Do they know its Christmas video.

So I'm recommending that Celtic do what they already do, except that the blind folk get in for free under my scheme, and I'm the bad guy?
I'm campaigning for enhanced opportunities for a neglected and undervalued part of our society - people have had MBEs for less :shakefist:

The Green Brigade create a great atmosphere and European nights are magic BUT the 'performing poodle for the entertainment of others' role we have adapted is a bit annoying to be honest. There is nothing more patronising than taking a whalloping on the pitch then patted on the head and told we played the banjo well.

Can't really do anything about other clubs enjoying the atmosphere at Parkhead. It's not really a role we've adopted, it's just the perception of another group of people. The Celtic support is doing what it has done for a number of years.

This seems an utterly mental thing to complain about, creating too good an atmosphere at games.

Kind OT but I remember in the late 80’s, early 90’s I used to always pass this severely disabled lad, going to the game in his electric wheelchair. Would usually pass him going along Duke St and would see him regularly. I was only a young lad but always had a lot of admiration for that boy.

I hope, he’s still with us.
