So do I. It's maybe easier if you look back historically, but applauding Pele, Maradona etc off the pitch at CP in their pomp would be a good thing? :ponder: As long as they had played the game the right way (not done a Neymar). Robben was a bit arsey when he was younger but think in recent years been OK? :ponder:
He's a cheating, diving, arrogant, wan-fittit arsehole, always has been.

I'm not for applauding anyone off the park. Tweet them your adulation or write to them. During the match we should be making it as uncomfortable as possible for the opposition.
Its nice that you have that opinion of him which you are perfectly entitled to.

Just the same as the guys that did clap him off are entitled to as well. That's the beauty of people having opinions.

Never noticed it to be more than usual, no.
The bottom half was packed. So much so that people who actually have a seat there were being turned away by stewards
That would fit in with what I was told. Fans were coming from the front because it was overcrowded and so the rear became packed too.

Fans who are already in there should be policing this as the club have already shown that any compromise on safety will see it closed.

Why the eff did so many people applaud Robben off the park?

eff him.
Aye I didn't get that either. It's not like he had an amazing game.

I've applauded Iniesta and Kaka off the park. Because both times they absolutely ran the show and were a joy to watch.

I'm up the back. It was absolutely heaving with new faces/ folk clearly jumping in and out with tickets. Don't really mind though, they arent causing any hassle.

Much rather them than the bird that snapchats the entire game, barely watches the football, doesnt sing and then leaves with 15 minutes to go every week. Waste of a ticket.

Does anyone find the opposition praising the atmosphere a bit patronizing? Especially after comments about not playing Muller unless it was Real Madrid. Would rather it was our players being praised.

You'll mind when the safety certificate gets withdrawn for overcrowding.

If having too many people in is an issue, maybe the Club shouldn't sell two tickets for the same seat :ph43r:

Lad who sits two along from me turned up and someone was already in his seat. Turned out both of them had a valid ticket for the same seat.

Probably Peter's new master plan :nono:

Shock horror!!! Manager makes substitution to waste time when opposition want goal.

Report this to UEFA!!

:arrr:
Keep searching for the point, you seem to have missed it.
Far from it. I didn't miss the point (or more accurately, some people's point of view). What a wonderful world we live in if we can respect others points of view. You sadly seem to think there's a party line to be followed by all and sundry.

talking of supporters, anyone see the wee dick who got himself lifted on the platform at Dalmarnock station about 10pm ? Talk about being an eejit. :cuckoo:
Loved the guy on the other platform who, seeing eejit's puffa jacket, kept calling him"bubblewrap"
I was right by the incident. He completely talked himself into it. I was tempted to intervene and try and get him to realise there was only one way it was going to end. I decided on balance that letting him be lifted would maybe help him learn in the longer term. He was wound up on something. His mate was equally daft looking with his hood up, a scarf obscuring the whole of his face and a big pair of shades over the whole outfit! Then I remembered it was Halloween.

Seemed a lot less bamtastic than the PSG game. A lot of wee guys must have been grounded by their mums I suppose. It was totally different in jsl, lot less blitzed / coked up types.

QA made a point about applauding Robben. You missed it and replied with some pish about time-wasting. It's not about a party line, you just chose to miss the point.

I didn't choose to miss anyone's point but sounds like I'm not smart enough to have got his point. So indulge me - explain the point more simply that I may understand.

Edit: no actually I see his point - why applaud someone when he is being subbed to run the clock down? Am I right? If so I didn't miss the point and my "pish" as you so subtly call it was to remark that one ought not to be surprised that switching players was being used as a time wasting tactic. All of that aside I'll feel free to applaud anyone I like at CP. it's called freedom of expression.

I just saw the video of the teams lining up at the start. Robben has a face like a wean on Xmas morning when we were drowning out the CL music

If the people who show up in my space for the big games and stop me being able to see the game properly could eff off that would be greatly appreciated.
