Just watched that interview and he's gone even higher up in my estimation, what a guy what a captain and I know for a fact he's a great guy off the pitch too :worthy:

Imperious. effing ripped into him in Deilas last season. Looked like he had chucked it but now clearly he was playing through injuries. Amazing to think he had those and also the thought of maybe his career was over but did not shy away and say he couldn't play. Well aware the stick he was receiving from the fans yet still played through the pain barrier. Scott Brown I am sorry. So very sorry

When Rodgers first arrived he said that Brown would have got in any Premier League team. At the time I thought he was blowing smile up his new captain's arse, especially after last Deila season. However turns out he's absolutely right. Can count the ordinary games on one hand since Brendan has arrived and most weeks he is exceptional.
Great player. Great man.

I now dread games when he’s not playing, he makes such a difference. I just wish for Celtics sake he would give up International football and allow his body the rest it needs.
He merits his place at the very top table of Celtic Greats.

Modern day Celtic legend.

As influential to his side as any of the greats has been to theirs. I dread the day he calls it quits.

Brendan Rodgers, make us dream - Celtic FC.

When he broke through at Hibs, it was obvious he had that nasty streak needed to play against the best. He gave the likes of Thompson, Lenny and Sutton absolutely no respect when he played against them. He gave not one single eff.

There have been plenty of debates over the years about the merits of Scott Brown, but ensuring he came to us is some of the best business we have done.

I still smile when I think back to when we signed Broony and BFDJ saying ' Scott Brown would crawl along the M8 to sign for Rangers'.... and the huns at Easter Road singing that he was one of their's :)

Dunno what we are going to do without him.
Agree. Not sure there's many like him in the game. His will to win, his competitiveness and leadership on the pitch are incredible.

He truly is one of the greats.
Had this same conversation with Faither this week.

He's a true Celtic Great. I find it hard now to not constantly watch him throughout games and see how much flows through, or is intercepted by him.

A real joy to watch.

He's about 2 and a half full pelt seasons from making it onto the top ten list of appearances at Jinky's expense.

BFDJ's pain after he signed for us was truly a thing of beauty. Even made Clyde worth listening to for a short time.

Not proud to say I wrote him off during Deila's demise too, not that I wanted to but he looked done. He's been there since I properly got addicted to Celtic and I can't imagine the team without him. Obviously you can talk about legends like Larsson but for me personally he's my favourite player. I even bought his book, and I can barely read!
Love you Broon

Hopefully KT can learn from him and pick up the balls once he's forced off the pitch. I'd be amazed if Broony wasn't part of the back team after he hangs up his boots.

Interesting to hear his criticism of Deila's training regime.

Gough has 10 league badges, 1 with United, I reckon he got 7 as captain, Broonie should have 7 as captain, 8 overall by the end of this season.
Hopefully he has another 3-4 seasons in him.
Just catching up with this thread medal counts the man to catch is Bobby Lennox.
Agreed, although my point in that post was about title winning sides captained and whether he would overtake Gough.
