Consistently playing the best football of his career just now. In the last 2 months he’s put in some absolutely blinding performances.

I love Broony, so does the wife😐. I thought he might retaliate after the elbow today but he just got on with it.

He's irreplaceable. Money can't buy what he brings to the team, it's something that a rare player develops over a sustained period of time at a club.

My only criticism of him is that he didn’t flatten Paton. Other than that he had another outstanding game.

I actually thought that it was a mark of how much he has matured in that he didn't flatten Paton. We would all have done it, but Broony just let the score hurt Paton more than any late challenge could.

Did the same at pittodrie, shinnie had a few kicks at him, which broonie just laughed off.

Aye, but Paton would be well advised to avoid dark alleyways tonight.

Yep, shows so much maturity these days but his tactical awareness is top class too. Knows when to drop back, slow play down, hit the ball up front early, he just generally bosses games and the oppositions MF. Some of the most dominant MF displays you'll ever see.

Agree. Not sure there's many like him in the game. His will to win, his competitiveness and leadership on the pitch are incredible.

He truly is one of the greats.

Gough has 10 league badges, 1 with United, I reckon he got 7 as captain, Broonie should have 7 as captain, 8 overall by the end of this season.
Hopefully he has another 3-4 seasons in him.
Just catching up with this thread medal counts the man to catch is Bobby Lennox.

This, and I thought we had seen him finished under Ronny.
He is the beating heart of our team
