with a buy clause that high as that I hope that we have terms for the deal agreed, so we don't end up with him doing a Guidetti and walks away negotiations

I'd like to go on record as saying that this guy will be better than Moussa.
Ok, I'll say that he's going to be absolutely Rafael

I've been wanting to see some succession planning for certain positions in the team, looks like this deal is heading in that direction.

Scored on his debut for Burnley at Wembley. £15m is a steal considering what else is going on in England.

We are on a winner with the Edouard deal if he is as good as expected. We are guaranteed to sign him if he proves his worth but are not obliged to. £8m is the type of money we need to be investing for progression. BR mentioned previously we were prepared to go high if necessary. Shows he is in charge of transfers pretty much. Moussa is most likely a one off in terms of potential return to outlay.

I don't understand this guaranteed thing. What if the player hates it here , can't he refuse our purchase of him?

So basically the terms of this loan mean we can sign him next summer and no one else is snooping in for him or if it doesn't work out he can go back to PSG, Is that correct?

we had agreed to buy/pay Man City compensation at the end of the loan, expecting to sign him - but Guidetti demands went upwards after his promising start/as other clubs started showing interest

There goes what? If this guy works out for us why wouldn't we spend that on him.

Honest to eff some people on here are only happy when they have something to moan about.

Celtic have identified a young french forward full of promise who's had an off season, they've got him on a risk free loan and secured an option to buy at less than 10m when at the same time dross like Chris Wood are going for 18. If he turns out to be great for us why would we not spend the 8m to get him permanent?
Plums. I meant to quote the fact Etims quoted the tweets, and their sterling reputation for made up pish suddenly rendered the rumour worthless

I can't claim to know what discussions were had with Guidetti, but just googling it there now, if we believe his side of the story, he simply didn't want to stay in Scotland.

I'm just glad we didn't pay, say £5m, for him.

It's still a binding contract which is why it's guaranteed. Granted you can't prevent a Costa situation but that's down to asset management.

We'll end up paying £7.5m for Ntcham if we qualify for champions league next year. This is definitely affordable should be prove to be worth it.

Think we'll play him more in the cups like the other youngsters in the team.

Ralston, Ajer, Tierney, Miller, Eboue, Henderson, Benyu, Ntcham, Roberts, Edouard.

All under 22, exciting times

So basically the player has signed the deal too and it's not just between the clubs . Ok that makes sense.

Smart deal.

All goes well we've got ourselves another good option for this season and come next year completely cut out the price hikes by selling clubs after Dembele goes for mega money and any bedding in it would take a new guy.
