What a prospect. Delighted he got his debut goal.

When he falls in love with Celtic, and with Brendan's coaching, well...

Raw means good physical play, flashes of brilliance but lacking on a technical side. I'd say Dembele was more raw than this guy. Edouard made some good passes and touches in that game, good balance and ball control as well.

Kept on coming back and intercepting the ball from Accies, which led to two goals (his and Sinclair's second). He was actually involved in every single goal.

Agreed. Not for the 1st time Sutton is chatting utter pish.

We need to get this lad tied down before he moves beyond our reach.....he is money in the bank. I am sure he could be even better than Dembele

I didn't honestly see much of the 'rawness' Chris Sutton was going on about. A lack of match sharpness certainly but on a basic level I saw someone with great technique and pace. Amido Balde was raw; this kid just needs games. I think this signing is going to prove a real coup.
Amido Balde was just shampooe
Balde had all the attributes to make it as top striker apart from the ability to play football.

Well the most we would need to pay is apparently £8m. If we sell Dembele this guy is an obvious replacement if he looks good enough.

Looks better than Dembele did first few games.
Pace to burn and a great first touch gives him the edge.
Probably be our no.1 by January. :)
A wee dig at Moussa

Re Odsonne, I thought he did very well.
No, it's what we do as fans.
We compare.
Dembele is a threat when the ball falls to him in the box, this guy looks like he has pace to burn and likes to use it.

His one two and finish running from deep isn't the kind of goal I would expect from Moussa, and he looks like he has fantastic touch.

It's only one game right enough but the signs are very promising.

Based on 90 minutes against Hamilton? I thought he showed - what we already understood we were getting - promise. His movement for his goal was good, but the keeper should really have got it.

Still way to early to make any meaningful call on him.

Yup. He is a young boy and there is no point hyping him up. He is going to have bad games as he is still learning.

x2

Another few months adapting to Scottish football and life up here (having to wade through 6 defenders) along with some "education" from BR and he could be handy for us. As mentioned, he looks strong and made some good runs and passes.

Looking forward to seeing more of him.

Rodgers said: "The kid has left Paris, it has been training in Glasgow all week.

"He trained in floodlights on Tuesday at 11 o'clock (in the morning), I looked at him sometimes, he probably wondered what he let himself in for.

"But his running ability, speed, power and profile suits how we play and he is very hungry and his view of the game was exceptional tonight.

"He wants to run behind which is important in my team and he wants to score goals.

"The biggest compliment he gets tonight is he got a massive round of applause at the end from all the players and staff in the changing room afterwards because it is was a great start to his Celtic career."

Great team spirit
i believe what Brendan actually said was
"The kid has left the 30c of Paris, and it has been raining in Glasgow all week.

"He trained in floodlights on Tuesday at 11 o'clock (in the morning), I looked at him sometimes, he probably wondered what he let himself in for.

Glad he's got off to a start with his goal anyway. He looked good. As others have said, he's strong, quick, showed a willingness to work, could link play and find a team mate.

He had a good header at one stage too, which was eventually blown for off-side. He also had the belief to take on a free kick effort.

Early signs promising for a 19 year old but there'll be ups and downs.

Decent debut - it can't be easy to come to a country where you don't speak the language and have any immediately impact. Looked a wee bit rough around the edges, but also showed some really promising signs. Which is probably what you get when you take an £8m rated 19 year old and give him a debut. Looking promising already and looks like there's plenty more to come - what's not to like?

I'd love to see Moussa and Odsonne play together in a couple of matches although it's not a likely setup in our normal approach
