Hmm. Doesn't seem to touch him on the close up
Doesn't matter. If the intent is there, it's still a red.
Absolutely. You'd have to question why Tierney went down though he never touched him though.

Would you stand there and take an elbow or would you do whatever you could to get out the way? Looked like evasive action to me

Anyone arguing about the lack of contact needs to brush up on their understanding of the laws. :ffs: If there's intent there it's a red all day long.

I'm not entirely sure dodging a punch/elbow would land you on the floor  However, as I say, it's a red.

The Scottish Football Association has concluded that a Gypsy comment made by football official and Scottish MP Douglas Ross was not discriminatory.
Ross, a Conservative MP, had apologised after saying he would impose "tougher enforcement against Gypsy Travellers" if he was prime minister for the day.
The MP has welcomed the SFA's decision.
The Travellers Movement said it was "disappointed" that the SFA did not take action over "derogatory and insensitive comments".
Mr Ross, who is an assistant referee, made the remark in an online interview that was put on YouTube, which led to criticism from traveller and human rights groups who accused him of attacking a persecuted minority.
It led to the Scottish FA launching an investigation, which could have resulted in him facing a disciplinary panel.
But the SFA compliance officer determined that there was not sufficient evidence that the Moray MP had breached its rule prohibiting officials from making comments of a discriminatory nature based on race or ethnicity.

so hang on...

he makes the statement, it's on youtube, but there was insufficient evidence he had breached rules about comments of a discriminatory nature based on race or ethnicity

yet certain other players can be banned and labelled a racist because they probably said something of a racist nature, when the only witness is the alleged recipient rather than the entire internet?

how do these carrots get away with this stuff?

What on Earth has to go wrong in a person's upbringing to make them want to be a Tory MP and a linesman? Tragic :nono:

You just know he was that one pain in the arse kid who nobody really liked because he was a snidey cheat who always grassed people in.

Just seen this.

He was asked what he'd do if he was PM.
A normal person would say something about international affairs.
He chose to have a pop at gypsies.
That is effing bizarre, and should tell everybody everything about the man.

Utterly useless.

He'll be demoted down to the First Division for a few weeks as happens every season when he fecks up one too many times.

He'll then return to the SPFL a few weeks later, cock up, and so it shall continue ad infinitum.

Beaton, Dallas and Madden all had Europa games on Thursday. I think that's significant and hopefully he has been rumbled as the wee arrogant shampoo ref that he is.

McClean was atrocious today. Gave Ross County 2 corners in the first half when it was obvious their player had touched the ball last. In the second half a RC player controlled the ball with his hand while lying on the ground outside the penalty area and he waved play on.
