No Scottish or English refs at the World Cup this year. Not really a surprise as they’re generally all shampooe.

As bad as this lot are the thought of Dallas or Walsh getting a big game involving us is scary.

Probably a reason Walsh doesn't get many of our games....

The non foul on Sinclair down at the corner was laughable. 2nd half was particularly poor from the hun.

That was farcical, Sinclair was constantly fouled over a 50/60 yard run. And he gave a throw in

At least three fouls on Sinclair that went unpunished, free kicks for everything to Ross Co when we made a challenge and one minute of injury time from a half with two goals and five subs.

This habit of only playing the full injury time if the game is balanced is an absolute joke. It is clearly influencing the game, if there is no need to play four minutes of injury time if a team is three goals ahead then there is no need to play four minutes if it is 0-0.

If Ross had conceded another in injury time that goal might have been the goal that sent them down on goal difference. Equally, they would benefit if the team above us were 1-0 down to us in the 90th minute but banging on the door so the ref plays four minutes and then we go and counter-attack and score a second.

You should play the correct amount of injury time on every game regardless if it is 0-0 or 6-0.

Seemed like it was open season on Tierney when he first came through and was clearly an upcoming talent, kick him so much that he might be swayed to go down south. KT though has shown what he is made of and is Celtic through and through.

Now Sinclair is off his game, getting hassled in airports so maybe he is the focus - let him get booted all over the place and don't give him a foul with the same motivation.

Good points there. There can't be many other sports where so much is left at/to the referee's discretion. As you say another team could be relying on us to score another goal and this clown adds on 1 minute in the first half when their keeper took at least 2 to get subbed and the atrocious challenge on Brown took another couple to get sorted out after the melee that ensued.
There could easily be an instruction that subs are a fixed 20-30 seconds of added time. The challenges on Sinclair in the corner second half produced at least 3 clear fouls and he gave nothing.

BBC stats for the game has us committing 10 fouls to their 8. Sums it all up really.

After we went 3-0, he basically became a Ross County cheerleader and gave us eff all....even when it was blatantly a foul for us.
He was pish but at least he acknowledged it was a penalty.

Make no mistake, the thought of Timmy doing a double Treble puts the fear in to everyone in the Scottish football establishment, especially the MIB!
If I were Brendan, I would be practicing with 9 men for the semi-final
Listen to any podcast on Scottish football and you bear the same complaints about the awful standard of refereeing!
When the SFA gets cleared out, one of the first tasks should be clearing out the present leadership of the refereeing department and bring in some guys who actually know the laws and get refs in Scotland to abide with the rules as they applied everywhere else!

I wish Brendan would speak out and say that the refs should obey the rules of the game at all times not when teams are getting a going over from Celtic. Jim obrien could have walked for his first two of five or six fouls but didn't even see a yellow card they must apply the laws of the game at all times and not when it suits they are being paid handsomely to officiate and should be able to do that in a professional manner.

Were we actually awarded any free kicks in the 2nd half?

Aside from ignoring obvious fouls, the amount if added time today was farcical. At the very end of the first half play was stopped for three minutes for an injury and substitution of their keeper, yet only a minute was added. Then for the second half, with goals and substitutions, there was the same. Are these guys accountable to anyone.??

The added time issue is a consumer protection issue as much as a sporting one.

If 50,000 folk pay £20 - £30 and more to watch 90 minutes of football, and the ref wittingly restricts those 90 minutes to 85 or 86, then he is defrauding Celtic FC's customers collectively of tens of thousands of pounds.

The club should be making an issue of this with the SFA.

I am all for this. I was cheated out of one minutes of entertainment yesterday. I wish to have my 26p back for the lost minute. I was so incensed I sat in my seat in protest for one minute after the ref had blown for full time.
