surprised nobody has mentioned the referee for the Arsenal v AC Milan game. Thought it was crooked right from the start and he shouldn't referee ever again.

Ref watch special starting on sky on monday then a VAR special think we should install VAR at celtic park just to point out their hionest mistakes
If VAR came to the Scottish game they would never again finish in the top 6
What if the video ref is a hun?
No no it would have to be someone impartial like. Me :)

The foul against McGinn should be a red and every single foul like that should be a red, we're not talking about a wee tug of the arm or shirt to halt a player going forward but a cowardly kick from behind on a player who cannot see it coming and therefore cannot prepare for it. The guy had no intention at all in trying to get the ball and took McGinn clean out when in a great attacking position, in most other leagues it would have been a red, but maybe the refs and SFA are getting scared that Hibs might actually overtake the hun in the league and are trying their hardest to ensure that doesn't happen!

I didn’t see the game but saw the tackle in isolation. To me it looked like no more than a trip no studs showing etc. I take the point of it being from McGinn’s blond side and could be deemed dangerous. Also think that there is a case for saying officials should be aware of a calculated fouling campaign by a team who know they can’t compete playing football. Will never happen mind you

Not too dissimilar to the red Mick got against hearts years ago. One rule for us.

Just catching up with this and that asault on McGinn (because that is what it was) is as clear a red card as you'll get. I remember years ago, Tommy Burns getting set off up at Pittodrie for doing the exact same thing to an Aberdeen player breaking forward. Spittal had no thought for the ball, simply to boot McGiin up in the air. That for me, is violent conduct and a straight red. Then again, maybe Hibs were just unlucky that Douglas Ross wasn't assisting.
And you can bet everything you own that if a Celtic player had done that, Beaton would not have been so lenient.

Remember Ian Murray getting sent off against us for Hibs in 08 for the exact same challenge on McGeady. We won 2-0 2008

In the rules it's a yellow. It wasn't high it wasnt dangerous.

He just deliberately kicked the boys legs. Cynical, absolutely.

Agree with this, but I'm starting to think the rules should change. In the box if you do that it's a red given you don't try to play the ball.

Agree. But the wailing about' RED CARD 'on tv with Sutton wasn't deserved.

Can be deemed to be violent conduct and a red. If you wear green and white.

The refs seem quite happy to play the advantage when Scott Brown gets fouled.

Sent off for being a moron. Brown gives him the shove to wind him up and the defender kicks out. However minimal the contact the intent is there, it's a red card all day long, idiotic thing to do.
