I just don’t get Celtic’s head-in-the-sand approach at all. This meek, Mowbray-esque acceptance that Celtic don’t get a fair deal is surely worsening the situation, it seems to embolden opponents and rotten officials to take more and more liberties.

The Club needs to make a stand, start fighting back. Highlight the anomalies we see every game: not every odd decision but the consistent anomalies, like only Celtic players being booked for celebrating, or persistent fouling getting persistent finger wagging from the ref while Celts are booked first time, or the bogus ‘advantage’ calls, or Madden’s 7 Step Wall trick, or the systematic targetting of KT. Real, verifiable anomalies that occur every single game. Call them out after every game and don’t give the offials an easy ride during the game; our players are far too meek in just accepting their crap, smart protesting, within the permitted guidelines but letting the ref know why he was wrong would help.

I thought Levein got off lightly after that outrageous slur against Brooney, the response was feeble. Does Scottish football regard Celtic as pussies, that even that phanny feels he can have a pop with impunity?
You're missing the other half of the equation - the narrative pushed by the other clubs and propagated by the SMSM that Celtic get every call, that Brown, in particular, gets away with murder, that "wee clubs" can't get a fair shake "in Glasgow" but only when it's Celtic who have benefited from a controversial decision. This is a particular favorite of the BBC Sportsound mob.
Oh, absolutely, but surely that’s even more reason to take a stand? Doing nothing has robbed us of a fair game, so in a world where we’re going to be damned if we do or don’t regardless, why not be damned for doing? Smart, clever, targetted dispute - not hun bombast.

McClean was back to his usual today. Only one Thistle player booked despite their hacking tactics. Looked like he was running a different rule book for each team

There will be no mention of the tackles on Lustig or Dembele.

Both were horrendous.

The tackle on Lusting was a red and was the keeper's one on Dembele, nowhere else on the pitch would a challenge like that have gone unpunished, should have been a red and a pen!

I wish BR would come out and call some of these refs performances. Too many challenges go unpunished and players get to kick our players at will. Nobody will highlight it, it's time the manager did.

I've been saying our club should be raising their concerns over this as far back as last season. The tackles on Lustig and Dembele were particularly shocking and how that cheating carrot McLean ignored them was even more shocking :nono:

up on the roof!!

I’ve said it many times....you see certain decisions and you think there can only be two explanations

Either the ref is utterly incompetent or the ref is a deliberate cheat

Neither should be accepted

Was coming home on the train after the game today and there was a Thistle fan sitting across from me. Guy sat down next to him and asked the score, he replied "3-2 to Celtic and the ref, ref was so biased to them it was unbelievable" because I had my daughter with me thought I'd keep quiet. Honestly cant remember a single incident that Thistle would be annoyed with. Meanwhile we had that tackle on lustig, their keepers Kung fu on Dembele and a general lack of bookings allowing them to foul with impunity.

Might be un unpopular theory but I think our players dont kick up nearly enough of a stink at these terrible challenges we have to get in these dirty bastards'faces after these so called tackles and let the ref know its out of order and we wont take it lying down .
Dembele and Lustig recieved shocking assaults today and their teammates acted like they didn't give a toss!

Only saw the Lustig one in real time at the game but to be honest it looked like a 50/50 challenge with Lustig unlucky to get a bit of an injury.
Could be wrong though. Looking forward to seeing on tv.

Outwith the two challenges on Lustig and MD, Kiernan Tierney MUST be the most fouled played in the league and the averages must be something like 8/9 fouls against him before someone is booked!

Forrest and Roberts, when playing, would give him a run for his money. The fouls to cards ratio for the opposition when playing against us must be something else.

Thistle fans were screaming for a pen in the 2nd half but player was running away from goal and claimed he was bundled over.

Apart from that feck knows what he had to moan about.

As you know we get more cards per fouls than most other teams, but the refs are snide because when our player is fouled he will have (90%) of the time already completed a forward pass therefore allowing the refs to play advantage and "forget" about the foul committed. Edwards for Thistle today committed about 10 fouls and wasn't even booked FFS...They, according to the BBC match stats committed 21 fouls and had one player booked

Brendan Rodgers, make us dream - Celtic FC.
[ * * * * * * * * * ]
I do understand the need to play with discipline that Brendan has been installing since he arrived. However, if the players are being instructed not to react on the field then they must have the certainty of knowing management will be highlighting the issues. That ain't happening and our players are having the crap kicked out them.

It is absolutely unacceptable to be in a position where our players are on the receiving end of some horrendous challenges with such frequency and for nothing to be said or done about it.

If someone had been stupid enough to do to one of MON's team what that Thistle lad did to Lustig, you could guarantee that Mjalby, Thomson and Sutton would have been competing to get right at that player at the next available opportunity.

It was a 50/50 and there was no intent to injure Lustig but it was possibly a red.

The tackles and off the ball stuff on KT is getting ridiculous.

I will stick my neck out and go for the latter. That he is allowed to referee Celtic games is ludicrous. Imagine McGeady had had a brother who refereed? Would the SFA have permitted him to officiate Hun games?
