I think he's a terrible ref and a cheating hun carrot, not a good combo.

I’m convinced they all think it is ok to batter KT every game. Why else does it go unpunished time after time.

Just hope he never gets the really dull one they all seem intent on handing out.

Mental that Hearts finished the game with 11 men. Thomson happy to let them batter us.

Its time to call a day on a 45 year old man running around a pitch with players half his age. Not fit enough or quick enough and to top it off a dreadful referee whose performances will only get worse.

Linesman that was running the North Stand was a tit of the highest order.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
For the hand ball, as you say, the ball was going straight out of play. It would have been ridiculous to book him for that.
Why? It was a deliberate handball. Clear booking.
Not every handball is a yellow card.

That ball was going out for a throw in with no-one near by to challenge for it. We benefited from having a free rather than a throw -in. No big deal really - other than it being Madden “ proving” he’s a DOB.

Thompson didn’t have a great game tonight - quick to book Brown but not others. Over used the advantage option during spells where niggly fouls began to escalate. Not helped by the NS assistant.

He motioned to Brown at one point that he had played advantage and that should be enough when a Jambo had just clattered into one of our players and Brown said that it should have been a yellow.
Also according to the bbc we committed 9 fouls to Hearts 21 and yet we got 2 yellows and Herts only 3.
As for waiting to give their #11 a yellow until the 91st minute when he was deserving of it much earlier :nono:

Thompson cheated us last night in every way , ably aided by the North Stand side linesman.

The most blatant nonsense , apart form his reluctance to book their thuggish behaviour, is his willingness to allow “advantage “ when we have none, but his resolute failure to allow it when we have. If that’s not cheating.....

Yeah the advantage thing was very obvious.

Terrible ref.

do we have footage of the ridiculous offside given against tierney in the second half? Looked no where near offside to me and stopped a certain goal imo.

Shocking again yesterday. Let Kilmarnock away with a ridiculous amount of fouls and time wasting. Booked our players for tackles they were getting away with.

There were a couple of ludicrous challenges yesterday that Clancey didn’t book them for, one in particular on Musonda in the second half on the right-wing. Looked about waist high.

Watched him count out Mulumbu’s fouls to him (three) and let him off with a warning, yet he booked Kouassi for his first tackle. One of many baffling decisions yesterday.

Clancy's probably still in the huff because I said he looks like his mum still dresses him. That, and he's a cheating bastard :mitb: :carrot:

I just don’t get Celtic’s head-in-the-sand approach at all. This meek, Mowbray-esque acceptance that Celtic don’t get a fair deal is surely worsening the situation, it seems to embolden opponents and rotten officials to take more and more liberties.

The Club needs to make a stand, start fighting back. Highlight the anomalies we see every game: not every odd decision but the consistent anomalies, like only Celtic players being booked for celebrating, or persistent fouling getting persistent finger wagging from the ref while Celts are booked first time, or the bogus ‘advantage’ calls, or Madden’s 7 Step Wall trick, or the systematic targetting of KT. Real, verifiable anomalies that occur every single game. Call them out after every game and don’t give the offials an easy ride during the game; our players are far too meek in just accepting their crap, smart protesting, within the permitted guidelines but letting the ref know why he was wrong would help.

I thought Levein got off lightly after that outrageous slur against Brooney, the response was feeble. Does Scottish football regard Celtic as pussies, that even that phanny feels he can have a pop with impunity?

You're missing the other half of the equation - the narrative pushed by the other clubs and propagated by the SMSM that Celtic get every call, that Brown, in particular, gets away with murder, that "wee clubs" can't get a fair shake "in Glasgow" but only when it's Celtic who have benefited from a controversial decision. This is a particular favorite of the BBC Sportsound mob.
