SPFL claiming the cost of goal line technology is prohibitive…

Prohibitive to their ability to ensure they can 'referee' the games the way they want to.
Costs around 250k to install per stadium, 4K per game and a 15k one off fee to FIFA to test the system and issue a certificate.
No it doesn't
If that is the cost, then someone is making an absolute killing.

It'd be a hoot if Celtic offered to pay for the installation
We should make a grand, and very public, gesture of offering to pay the installation costs for all 40 current SPFL teams. And insist it is called Van Dijk-cam.

EDIT- and buy 160 tickets for every game to cover the cost of the game fee.

Just caught up with the weekend's highlights on iPlayer; Collum was clearly told to ensure that no Orc was sent off, otherwise they would miss the game at CP... a player in any other side would have received two cautions for Tavernier's fouls in the first half, and a definite caution for running to the fans after scoring. Had that usually over-officious wee scrote applied the same sanction to John that he generally administers without compunction to other goalscorers, then Sevco would have been down to nine men and been on the end of the tanking they deserved.

Edited for Deidco precedent: In 1995, the week before the 3-3 draw at Billywood, the Huns were playing the Sheep at home; Gascoigne stuck the head into Inglis' chest (like Zidane on Materazzi) - not even a caution from :mitb: 'three penalties' Robocop. Later in the game Gough and McLaren (sure one or both already on cautions) rag-dolled Eoin Jess without so much as the award of a free-kick.

Such was the outcry after the 1-1 game, most people thought that Madden would not referee anther Celtic game. A few months later, apparently out of the blue (I know, I know), a puff piece suddenly appeared in the Daily Record about Madden telling everyone that he had suffered serious ill health and that he actually was one of Scotland's best ever referees. Within 24 hours of that piece appearing, Madden was appointed to the Scottish Cup Final.

It was either an incredible coincidence or..... the Daily Record knew about the appointment beforehand and that article had been placed there to 'soften' the impact of the appointment and stifle any complaints there might be about him getting the match at Hampden. KT suffered the consequences with a broken jaw.

Can’t think of anything I’d really want to complain about. Let Bates away with a couple I think, otherwise fine.

Still a wink

Free kick at the end to guarantee the point was dreadful. Couple of predictable free kicks when we put the ball in the box from corners. Nothing major that he had to call.

He did us a favour with our set pieces lately. He was ok, far more pissed off at us than him tonight

He was fine today. An absolute non entity in the game. As a ref should be.

Yeah no complaints on today from me bar the paltry stoppage time

More worried that his non-eventful game today will mean he gets to arse up at a more important juncture in the future

Wasted more time than the huns with his wee chats to them. Gave them a FK in the 1st half even they were surprised to get never mind us.

We didn't give him a game changing decision to make and that was good.

Aye, free kick at the end and I’m thinking “that bastard is telling them to shell it into the box so he can give a pen”

What about the free kick they got in front of the dugout in the 1st half, when it looked to me that Lustig was the one who was nudged?

That's the one I was meaning. The huns were looking at each other saying "whit, ours?"

No great game changers today but one or two WTF decisions that favoured the huns.
