A wee genius who gave us so many magical moments during his time here. Is he still kicking a ball with Yokohama Marinos or has he chucked it?

Happy Birthday Naka.

He had a falling out with Marinos when his contract ran out (didn't like their new French manager, they weren't offering him good terms because of his age, etc).. So he moved to Jubilo Iwata this season where one of his old mates from the national team days is the manager.

39 years old. Still scoring goals like this. :)

His best goal for us was the chip against Dundee Utd.

Absolute genius. Lubo or Larsson would have struggled to come up with that.

I don't really care where fans want to place him in the Celtic midfield order of merit. All I know is he gave us some outstanding moments to remember in his time here.

Amongst the best in the world when it came to free kicks. The consistency was incredible.

He was sublime at times. If he had been utilised properly I think he'd possibly be listed as one of the top ten greatest Celtic players.

The only real negative thing I can say about him is that he was generally woeful at corners.

Overly reliant on Paul Telfer covering his arse. Punt.

Could have been even better if he was played in a more central role. The old he's not going to track back so play him wide plan.

Good wee player.

Some hyperbole in the thread of course which is natural.

The free kick against Man Utd was probably the best moment in terms of pure elation that I've experienced at Celtic Park.

Edit to add I wasn't at Barca 2-1 or stopping the 10
First time I had ever felt the stands shake that night last. Amazing free kick.

It's like watching a 12 year old trying to act cool in-front of his mates.

Agreed. Love that goal.

A piece of utter brilliance :worthy:

Always reminded me of Ronaldinho in the sense that I reckon he would still be a professional footballer if they didn't pay you.

Has there been a better left side midfielder at the club?
Bertie and John Collins.

Tarnished his legacy by somehow convincing people that Telfer wasn't a total diddy.

Best dead ball expert I've ever seen, and that's saying something. That left foot was magical. Really enjoyed his time with us, but imagine him in this team.
Best dead ball expert for Celtic or in general?

Juninho of Lyon in the same era is comfortably the best I've ever seen.

He put a 30 yard free kick past Khan who almost smashed his jaw in the process of trying to save it, it was one of my favourite free kicks ever despite the fact it helped put us out of the Champions League in 2003.
