It's his birthday today, and at the risk of being ridiculed for turning KDS into Jackie magazine, many happy returns to a wonderful football player.

Gordon Strachan is criticised (rightly at times) for the style of football during his tenure, but Naka was simply a shining light through it all.

We were blessed to have him.

Free kicks within shooting range were almost as good as penalties for us when Naka was playing

Great footballer to have at Celtic durine the time of Strachan.

Shudder to think how we would have played in a team with a positive manager. All the best Naka

As a midfielder, Collins was streets ahead of him.

Nakamura was a very good player, and was excellent at set-pieces and striking the ball. Not the most consistent, though clearly he was a shining light in Strachan's functional setup.

I'd like to have seen him as a number 10 (hardly an original opinion), but to be honest that probably wouldn't have worked in our formation at the time.
