Hopefully the goals come. He looks the kind of player opposition defenders will not enjoy playing against.

I'm rapidly running out of patience with this guy. His close ball control in and around the box is non existent as is his heading ability. Every time he takes a player on he loses the ball and there is no movement into space when we are on the attack. I'm writing this after he has taken a ball down the left hand side and set up Griff with a not so bad run. Forrest just centred for us and instead of going towards the ball on the centre of the six yard box he runs to the far post behind two defenders. Needs to improve v quickly.
Disagree. I thought that the jumbos defence were extremely uncomfortable any time he ran at them. He blotted his copy book with a daft booking at the end but other than that he had a very decent day. His work rate never let up and he was a total handful to play against.

Played ok today. Hoping that first touch is just a bit rusty.

His carrying if the ball (although he could release it quicker) has been the best part of his game thus far

Hope he hasn't picked up a back strain with the suppprter stuck like a limpet on his back during the Sinclair goal celebrations.

He looks better with the ball at his feet, running at the opposition, than he does with his back to goal. His first touch isn't brilliant.

Hopefully he can improve quickly in the coming months.

I thought he came into the game well today, looks strong and can draw fouls. The goals will come when he settles in.

Didn't see the game but I like the fact we have a striker who's fast and powerful and loves running at defenders and has strength to hold onto the ball under pressure. He can score. He can take the heat. All that's missing at the moment is a consistent touch. When he's up to speed, I think this bhoy's going to fly.

Thought he did very well today. Was the most menacing forward of the two, held the ball up, and some nice promise of a partnership with Leigh.

I thought he did well in the game it was. The hearts defence will have hated playing against him.

Eff it, he couldn't hold or pass wind, that's my take on him.

I like him. Certainly gives us physical presence and has shown some nice glimpses, particularly carrying the ball at pace.

Looks a bit rusty in places but I think it will click for him.

You see that he has a bit of x-factor with his ability to run through a defence (occasionally), but in general I´m not overly impressed so far. My main problem with him is his inability to hold on to the ball and his weakness in duels. As a target man, he looks quite useless so far and also I think he too often makes wrong decisions whether to pass the ball or go for a finish himself (which also could be said about Griffiths, btw).

Actually watched the game back and he was a real handful. Had two good chances one of which, he made himself and the second he was unlucky with.

Some of his runs were terrific. He has to know when to pass though. He could have set Griffiths up for a easy tap in.

Also has to be said he makes some excellent off the ball runs but he never receives the pass. At one point in the second half, Forrest tried an outrageous outside of the boot shot when Dembele was in acres of space.

He's 19 FFS!

Has he got the attributes to be a good player? Yes.

Has he showed glimpses of what he's capable of? Yes.

That's all we need for now. And as the season goes on and he settles in he'll get better. The most important thing he gives us right now is a physical presence up front. And we've got Griff over the top.

Both Griffiths and Dembele are playing well enough, but there still doesn't seem to be any signs of a partnership developing.

I actually thought Dembele looked more comfortable on his own when Griffiths went off.
