His goal reminded me of Hooper at Easter Road. He seems happy here with his Francophone pals and I'd like to see him stay another season.

His first touch and finish was very reminiscent of Hooper's goal against Hibs in 2011. Class.

Its no beyond the realms of possibility that he'll be here to Jan.

I'm new. Be gentle.
Good price, and we sign Edouard, then that is fair enough and fits with our business model.
But, it would be tough to see him go, great all round player with a fantastic work rate.

And he loves skelping the huns =D

Any chance we can keep him for the qualifiers and possibly beyond?

With most big clubs not starting their season until mid-August, I'm sure that we'll have him through at least the second qualifying round.

If Rodgers digs his heels in, we have him for all of our qualifiers before selling (like the VVD transfer).

I think what you have to bear in mind with this lad is that he had the clarity of vision and strength of character to leave PSG at 16 and go to Fulham - not for money, or fame, or glory, but because he thought it was best for his development. He obviously has big ambitions - whether it's to win the Ballon d'Or, or to win the World Cup, or to lift the Champions League, I have no idea. But he ain't your average footballer.

He has a lot going for him at the moment. He plays for a great man-manager and has a real chance of playing in the Champions League next season, and the season after that. He's in the France u21 squad and he's getting real praise from big names like Zidane and Deschamps.

I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed for at least another season - it seems mutually beneficial. He hasn't quite hit the same heights this season that he managed in his first year; to that extent, he will know he has something to prove if he wants to get a move to one of the big CL sides. It's unlikely that he'll get a move to another side in the Champions League this season, and if he does it'll certainly not be as a first team regular.

I have to be honest, I don't see anything in the lad that suggests he's hankering after a move this summer. He had a mid-season blip, for sure, but there were rumours that we offered a price around a few clubs and he potentially took the huff at that - quite rightly, if it is what happened.

I think all the evidence suggests that he has his eyes on a much bigger, longer-term prize and he'll do whatever maximises his chances of achieving that, including staying with us next season and maybe even into the season after that.

After all, no player has gone from Celtic to a bigger club than Henrik Larsson, and he stayed here for seven years. I don't think Dembele will stay here for that long, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's still pulling on the hoops in 2020.

Bang on, seems to be a foregone conclusion on here he's off. Not seen many even consider the possibility that he like its here & maybe feels like with Brendan in charge this could be the best place for his development.

I think 2020 is wishful thinking but after a stop start season maybe he would fancy another year, he'd need to sign a new 3 year deal otherwise it's not an option, he's worth 20mill or more and we can't afford to sell him with only 1 year left on his deal.

He looks settled, especially now he has Edouard & NtCham, but if Marseille is a serious option at £20m then I guess he'll happily go with the Club's blessing.
He'll see that as progress & so will we.

He's a massive PSG fan. I think he'd prefer another season at Celtic than going to Marseille.
