Quoting limited to 3 levels deepDembele's performances in the last month or two have been brilliant. What else does he need to do?

He's scored 5 in his last 6 games
He wasn't bad against Ross County. I also didn't think he was bad vs Dundee mid week and the Motherwell game was more a symptom of Tom Rogic than anything else but we'll leave that for another time.

The point is that when you go on a run of games like he did - as a 21 year old - you're bound to have some drop off on form. He gets absolutely no space with people on here. He goes on a tear and as soon as he has a poor game people are all over the match thread and this one calling him shampooe and saying he isn't interested which is blatantly lies.
I don't quite agree with all of that but not getting into a game by game analysis. You said his performances in the "last month or two" have been brilliant. That is hyperbole and demonstrably untrue whichever side of the debate you sit on.
In the last 2 months he's put in brilliant performances vs Zenit (x2), Aberdeen (A), Rangers (A) and Morton (H). The rest you can make a case for him being poor, average, the team being the problem etc but the games I've mentioned he was obviously very good in.

Any other club in the world would be buzzing about that from a 21 year old.

Not us.

I reckon it would be more positive on here if he scored vs Dundee, Hamilton and Motherwell as opposed to Rangers, Aberdeen and Morton. :cuckoo:

Your thoughts on what's brilliant us different from mine too 😂

Just cause he does well, or scores doesn't make it a brilliant performance.

You think Madrid or Barcelona would be ‘buzzing’ at a 21 year old being decent against the standard of rangers , Aberdeen or Morton? Ffs

He will start against the huns. I don't think he deserves too. That today was rotten.

Difficult to think of another player in our history who has been such a major asset in big games yet made such an underwhelming impact in the week to week domestic stuff.

46 goals for Celtic to date. 46 appearances against Rangers and Aberdeen in 2 year is mighty impressive.

Good try.

No good enough.

Sometimes, not an awful lot.

He is our best striker when he’s on it but too often this season he has had little to no impact in games. I get the argument that the service isn’t great but sometimes strikers need to make things happen for themselves and there have been games this season where Moussa hasn’t done enough to get the service in the first place.
