Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
He did more than Dembele did. Looked more interested.

As for this it's everyone else's fault :ffs: You have said it yourself. He is a big game player. He is more than capable, and should, be getting more involved. A top player demands the ball and goes looking for it to make things happen. He isnt interested unless it's being laid on a plate for him.
This whole 'looking interested' thing is a load of nonsense. Dembele looks the same vs Hamilton away as he does vs PSG away.

Dembele as a player isn't best suited to the way teams are playing against us - that's why his quality shows when we play against teams who don't pack their defence with 10 men. When this does happen the onus is on our wide players to create chances for him - and lets be honest - they aren't doing it.
No he doesnt :nono: Against the big teams he puts himself about and plays on the edge. He goes looking to get involved and wants to bully defences.

It's a nonsense to say he plays that way against the wee teams as well. Everything has to come to him when he should be making spaces to receive it.

He has been great for us in the main but it's crystal clear he is going through the motions and is on his way.

For the type of striker he is, we need to see more from him. We also need to see less sideways passing pish from the guys around him. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

Dembele will be one of our heroes next week and the following week you'll get the same idiots going on about him not looking interested. He's no here to wave his arms about so you lot can feel better about what you perceive he is feeling. He is here to play football and most of the time he does that well enough.

Anyone who thinks he is giving 100% week in week out is kidding themselves on.

He’ll be excellent next week though.

It’s not. And if it is then he’s nowhere near the player I think he is. Next week he’ll be all over their centre backs bullying them not just waiting around for something to happen.

He’s a fantastic talent but he is clearly playing so far within himself.

He wasn't waiting around for something to happen when he got in after 6 seconds. He had a poor game but that doesn't mean his application isn't there.

The Hun won't sit in and play 10 men behind the ball and they'll look to get forward whenever they can which will open the space for Dembele to play in.

If he wasn't giving 100% he just wouldn't be playing. We have two strikers on the bench chomping at the bit to get in who are more than capable of doing a job.

See if he isn't giving 100% what does that say about the rest of the team? Is Moussa that good he can coast for the majority of the season and still match a 100% trier like Griffiths?

The problem Moussa has, and Sinclair too to an extent, apart from individual form is the way the coach has us set up to play. He went from his hybride 4/3 at the back with two fullbacks to a 3 at the back with three centrebacks. That has effed up the balance throughout the team. We don't get forward fast enough and spend the majority of the time passing the ball between our three least talented players. Tierney starts far too high up the pitch so is easier to mark which in turn impacts on the space Sinclair has. These three players, Tierney, Sinclair and Dembele were our three best attacking options last season. Look at all of them now.

This time last season there was serious chat about Dembele going to the very biggest European clubs, I do think Moussa not operating fully is still better than any other striker in the league. Leaving other players out of it I genuinely don’t see how anyone can watch him in run of the mill games this season and think he is giving his all.

What it says is he’s a class above but still doesn’t excuse not giving 100 % .

Looked as bored as I was.
Aye, but he’s in a position to do something about it. One of the reasons we’re so boring in these games against the bottom six is because our attacking players are playing with all the intensity of a pre-season friendly.

5 in his last 6 games including 2 goals and 2 assists against 2nd and 3rd place in their own pit.

Celtic fans are unbelievable.
You're unbelievable by ignoring what's right in front of you, he has played mostly pish the whole season and yes he hardly looks as if he can be arsed half the time. You can dress that up in stats as much as you like, Sinclair has the best goalscoring and assist stats than any other player this year yet it is widely accepted that he too has been mostly pish this season.

Dembeles performances and all round team play have been unbelievable this season.

Hope he gets the big move he's looking for in the summer as right now he's not giving us 100% although he always receives 100% of his wage!
Dembele's performances in the last month or two have been brilliant. :ponder:

It's difficult for our strikers to play on their own up there against teams who are sticking 11 behind the ball.
Eh? Seriously???
