His hold up play at this level is top drawer, hope he takes some confidence from tonight.

He’s different level from anything else we have when he plays like that. More than any other player (Brown included) he raises the full team to a different level when he plays well.

He must be an absolute bastard to play against when he’s in the mood he was in tonight.

And when the opposition don't have a licence to just wrap their arms around him or climb all over him when challenging for the ball.

Stepped up tonight and showed how good he can be. Needs a goal now and next week would be perfect.

Brilliant performance tonight from Dembele, and one that highlights just how important he is to us when he's on his game. Apart from his goalscoring ability, he's just generally a nightmare for defenders to deal with - bustling, great at creating space for or linking up with the midfielders coming through. I don't think it was a coincidence that when he plays his best game in months, so to does McGregor. I think Sinclair has missed him badly this season.

Hopefully this is the start of him getting back to his best.

Starting to get his sharpness back.
Agreed.

Thought he was excellent tonight. As said in the Match thread, the big mans hold up and lay offs were outstanding. Bullied them and worked hard.

The only thing missing to round off a complete performance is sharpness in front of goal.

That was more like last seasons Moussa. So close to nicking a couple of goals too.

Still not as match sharp as people make out. Still off the pace in my opinion.

But he's getting there. Needs to start finishing.
