Roma being linked at €18m. Could make sense seeing as Dzeko looks for the off.
Reading between the lines of Rodgers and Brighton I'd say we value Moussa above £18m

If Brighton were the team who bidded "well below our valuation" then we've got to assume the bid was at least £14m as thats what they have paid for their second choice after missing out on Dembele.

The big man stays, great  now get aff yer lazy, huffy arse and bang them in.

There's obviously something happened in the background with various ' quotes ' and people ' in the know '

Leaves himself wide open now in his first bad game, as do the management, after a recent couple of press releases.

I know he hasn't been quoted himself as wanting to leave, but it's one shambles tbh.

How does he leave himself wide open?

Despite your claims he's lazy and huffy the manager has said today thats a load of shampooe.

These kind of words being used when they are clearly wrong is whats building up the hatred towards the big man. Needs to stop. Totally unfounded nonsense.

CELTIC have rejected a £12million bid from Brighton for Moussa Dembele.

And boss Brendan Rodgers insisted: We don’t want to sell.

Dembele could be sold before the transfer deadline next week.

But SunSport can reveal Brighton have already failed in a swoop earlier this month.

The offer came before the Premier League side paid £14million for PSV star Jurgen Locadia.

But Rodgers has now warned other interested clubs that Celts are eager to keep the £20m-rated ace Dembele.

Rodgers said: “The situation with Moussa is absolutely fine. The boy has two and a half years left on his deal here, and there’s a lot of speculation.

“But we don’t want to sell him — simple as that. We’ve had one bid that’s come in and it’s way under his value to us.

“But the message is this — we don’t want to sell.

“His behaviour has been great. Yes, there was a slight focus that moved away, which I can understand and I think everyone can understand why that is.

“I have said since my first day in here that I always pick a team on attitude and energy.

“That never changes. Whether someone is playing or not, that’s what we look for and it’s nothing personal. It’s what the team needs.

“But Moussa has been training well. You’ll have seen and heard about players in this situation downing tools or going AWOL.

“This kid has never done that. He’s never once asked to leave.

“There was an option there, but the club didn’t want to take it because it was nowhere near the value.

“We don’t want to sell him. All of this dies down and the group becomes stronger again.

“I don’t think there’s an issue with him. He’s not stomping his feet to leave.

“Moussa knows where he’s at, and if he’s still here for the second part of the season he’ll contribute and do well for us.”

Rodgers is more interested in ADDING to his squad this transfer window.

He added: “For me, we have to. We have to. There’s no question that’s something we need to do. I’m very happy with the group of players I have.

“We’ll also have some returning from injury who will make us stronger again.

“But we wanted to bring in players in this window who would add quality. Sometimes that takes a wee bit of time.”

I think he came back from the injury too early and he knows it so not quite able to get to 100%. Hopefully this wee break has allowed him to be fully fit and commit to us. Getting Dembele back firing on all cylinders would be a massive boost.
