He picked up an injury against Motherwell in the cup final and then aggravated his injury against Anderlecht after that.

Since Aberdeen he played 18 mins vs Kilmarnock, 90 mins vs Bayern, 90 mins vs St Johnstone (Scored), 81 mins vs Ross County, 71 mins vs PSG (scored) and 64 mins vs Motherwell (scored).

So 3 goals in 6 games that he took part in including 2 CL games. He scored a double vs Hibs and a double vs Aberdeen the week before the Killie game as well.

His performance/attitude/form hasn't dipped. He just hasn't been fit/played enough games to hit the numbers he hit last season.

EDIT - The only two games since Anderlecht at home he's played any significant minutes was vs Aberdeen and Rangers. I thought he played well in both of those games.
He was pish against the Huns.
Worse than that.

In my opinion he's lacked effort for months now. Doesn't look too bothered if we win or lose.
No wonder Griffiths is pissed off when he can't get a game.
Aye on their games Dembele is a better player but i'd rather play with someone who it clearly means something to to be playing for us.
It will be a big loss if he goes but hes not been a £20m player for months.

If his level hadn't dipped then he would have been playing when available. There have been multiple occasions when he has clearly just been left out because of form.

I'll leave it at that because some people refuse to see it, even though those who would know best, the coaching staff, have pretty much said he's way off the pace.

When he got taken off against the huns and trailed down the tunnel it said it all for me.
Face tripping him and couldn't care less about the result.

I'd sell him for 25 million. His first 6 months were amazing. It's been downhill since then and he clearly wants the move.

Move him on.
It hasn't really. This season has been a slight disappointment but he still has 8 goals.

Between Jan and April last year he scored 12 goals in 14 games.

Not sure where he had a great six months and that's it is coming from.
Neither am I since I never said that. He's had his moments since then and he's still going to score goals in our league if he plays regularly. I just think his form has dipped since the first 6 months - maybe it's injuries. Compare his last performance against RFC compared to his first.

I think 25 million for a player who's form has been on the decline for a year is a good deal.

He was in London...
Story first broke when he was at home.

Know someone who was with him at the time.

IIRC he travelled to London in the midst of the speculation. Was it to see a physio or doctor?
 wasn't aware of the ASDA story

Not sure, it was a person on here who PM'd me to tell me he was in London.

Rodgers confirmed he was in London (Chelsea as it turns out) on the final day of the January window last year getting his injury checked.

Actually on reflection it might have been the summer 2017 window.

Lets try and summarize :

- Doesnt want to go to a lower Premier League team and would rather stay at Celtic instead
- Happy to move if the right offer for the club and his career comes a long (like most players)
- Doesn't look to be forcing any sort of move publicly - acting completely 100% professional
- Club seem to be putting other clubs on notice that he is available publicly - probably acting 100% unprofessionally

Any one that is still having a go at Dembele over all of this is way off. It's starting to look increasingly like we want rid of him.
We don't want rid of him - we want to cash in on him.

There's a subtle but important difference.
Yup - I'd say that's true.

For whatever reason it's quite gutting that we are looking to cash in on him.

What's 'gutting' about wanting to bring in several millions on a player who looks like he cgaf?
Is it because you'd have to redecorate your bedroom? :ponder:

I'd sell at £15million with a 50% sell on fee. When he signs for the Premier League his value will sky rocket like a, um, rocket.

50%?

No club would agree to that.

If this had been his first season with us we'd probably been shouting about punting him for next to nothing. He's not really done much of note this season and so far living on the glories of last season. Hard to tell what kind of player he is at the moment given his limited game time and injuries. Certainly showed he has the potential to be top drawer but i think he has to be very careful about the club he goes to. With his injury record this season he could be consigned to the bench more often than not and become the 2nd or 3rd striker. He needs game time like all players to push on and improve. If it was purely for football reasons he should really stay here for another season and another crack at CL get fit and then move but that's not how it works these days.
That's actually why he's probably better off going to somewhere like Brighton or Palace. He'll get more game time for them than he would for whichever "big" club he dreams of playing for, and once he's proven himself in that league then he'll get his oil dollars. If that's the route that he goes down, we can sell (relatively) low and stick a sell-on clause in. Same as happened with VVD basically.

Of course, if one of the super-super-rich clubs decides that they want him now we should be fleecing them.
If it's a career choice then he needs to stay fit to get game time and although been unlucky with injuries and fitness this season that's the kind of thing that just sees you kicking your heels down south once you are fit again as they have another £20 million striker to play in your place. He'll obviously not want to go to a team that could end up relegated and given there are 8 points between bottom and 9th at the moment it would be a pretty tough call on who is for the drop. He'd be better off staying and getting game time and fitness up at least until the summer then look at his options but I still think he should stay for another season.

I support Celtic and not a balance sheet. Whilst I understand the importance of making sure the club are financially stable I don't see a situation arising in the near future where we "need" to sell any of our players. So for that reason I'd much rather keep our best player. Easy enough?

As for the bedroom comment. You still hurting from that tech forum skelping you got a few days ago? Let it go man. Nobody wants to see you follow me around the board quoting everything I say with snide remarks.
