Why does he still have ‘ooft’ in the headline bit, think he’s a great striker but let’s be honest he’s done hee haw all season
Because the board is actively trying to sell him. We aren't going to put 'pish' are we?
Indeed. The sub-heading of a thread, on a football fans forum, full of roasters who don’t use their real name, is worth somewhere between £2m and £5m to a potential buyer.

BR saying that there has been a couple of enquiries for Moussa.
STAY FOCUSED Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers reckons Moussa Dembele’s head has been turned by interest from Brighton, Crystal Palace and Everton The Frenchman was left out of the Hoops line-up to face Brechin City in the Scottish Cup and the Celtic gaffer admitted the striker isn't completely focused
Spoiler: click to toggle By Colin Duncan BRENDAN RODGERS reckons Moussa Dembele’s head has been turned by the speculation linking him with a £20 million switch south. The Celtic boss admitted the French striker has struggled with his focus in the wake of interest from Brighton, Crystal Palace and Everton. Dembele scored 32 times last term following his move from Fulham, but he has just eight to his name so far this term. The 21-year-old was an unused substitute as Celtic began the defence of the Scottish Cup with a 5-0 demolition job on Championship strugglers Brechin. Rodgers said: “There have been a couple of enquiries for him and I think it is clear he has not been quite the same as he’s been for over a year or so. “My job as the manager and the leader of the team is to ensure his focus is purely on Celtic. “He’s a good kid, but for a lot of players January is a difficult window. “There is lot of speculation, lots of things happening. “I know that some inquiries have come through to Peter (Lawwell) here but nothing concrete. “My job is always to protect the club and ensure everyone who plays is totally focused. “Moussa is fine. There have been a few enquiries and we will see what happens between now and the end of the month.” Rodgers remains confident Dembele can rediscover his best form if he is not sold during the transfer window. He said: “Young players come in here and they do so well. “He has done great for us but there has always been speculation around him and I think for young players it can be difficult at times. “This window, it is a difficult window for players. They are unsure, especially in his case. “But he has no issue, there is no problem. “I could have played him today but for the team and for the dynamic of everything I wanted to put young Odsonne Edouard in. “Moussa is training, he is working and nothing happens between now and the end of January then between then and the end of the season we will see that player really focused and fighting and running and working for the team.” Leigh Griffiths was also missing from the Hoops line-up after picking up an ankle injury, but Rodgers is optimistic he will be fit for Tuesday night’s Premiership clash with Partick. He said: “Leigh had an ankle injury at the beginning of the week and he hadn’t trained. “It was just too much to risk him today. “He joined in a session after the game and hopefully he will come through and be available for Tuesday.” Rodgers fielded a full strength team as Celtic cruised into the fifth round with an impressive display against the part-timers. He added: “I thought Brechin came with a good spirit and history tells you these games can be difficult. “It was a professional performance. We created chances and scored goals at important times. “I tend to field strong teams. I never try to disrespect any opponent. No games are easy these days. “It was important to get our rhythm back and get a good result.” Meanwhile, Darren Dods admits his team never recovered after going two goals down inside ten minutes at Celtic Park. But, the Brechin boss insists he was still proud of the way his players refused to throw in the towel despite losing 5-0 to the Scottish Cup holders. He said: “It was the worst possible start. Two down after 10 minutes at a place like Celtic? “It’s hard enough trying to keep it level let alone be two down so early. Credit to the boys though. They stuck to their task. “We got our composure back midway through the first half. We managed to contain them and we worked hard. We didn’t crumble and we kept going. “It was disappointing losing the fifth but a few players can take credit.” https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/2119931/celtic-brendan-rodgers-moussa-dembele-head/

Doesn't make sense to me.
BR thinks he's unsettled due to speculation. The only speculation has really been re Brighton. He doesn't want to go to Brighton. So why would that have unsettled him?
Oh and Celtic are actively trying to sell him. Aye, that'll bring in the big bucks.
" unsettled due to speculation" , what he means is , "he's been pish" unsettled due to micturition?

Seen he liked a tweet which was basically having a go at BR's treatment of him. Swiftly unliked, but enough time for myself, and a few others I assume, to see it. Maybe an indication of where his head is at.
He doesn't run his twitter account. Whoever does will be getting a boot in the baws. I thought the post was aimed more at the fans than BR anyway. Sure his agent wrote "top man" underneath it.

He’s only 19. He’s got all the attributes we need for a lone striker. He just needs games to settle and develop.
He's a year younger than Dembele. Dembele is streets ahead of Edouard.
I think that's unfair. A year and a half ago where was Moussa? Exactly.
Once Edouard gets big game experience, the better he’ll become.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep

Exactly. Once Edouard gets big game experience, the better he’ll become. In fairness 18 months ago Dembele had just came off a 17 goal season playing for a struggling Fulham side.
However utterly mental it is that type of return in the Championship is worth around £10-15m

He may come good in time, but Moussa is more than significantly better.

The manager picked the team. Sorry I don't understand this, are you saying BR has watched him busting a gut in training banging them in from all angles and thought " nah I'm no picking him" ? If he's not picked to me that means he's not showing enough in training or others are.

The manager picked the team. Well aware who picks the team. But, Dembele can’t show the manager that he can do a job against Brechin, Brechin ffs, because he’s just not focused enough because of transfer chit chat from his agent.
These guys don’t know they’re born.

For balance Rodgers was also quoted as saying Dembele is fine, there is no problems, he's great and working hard in training.
BR is just protecting Dembele. That's all. Had we been playing the Huns or Aberdeen he'd have been in the team.

If we keep taking gubbings in Europe the way we have, we'll have a harder time convincing anyone to pay top money for our talent.
This season Moussas case has taken a bit of a dent due to injuries, his form and our overall form. If he gets a move this window it's almost exclusively based on what he did last season. If not, he has a few months to get his and our profile up a few notches headed into the summer.

I thought he'd have the common sense to keep his head down and do just that, ensuring the best possible options for him at the end of the season. Apparently not though, it would appear he'd rather pull a Mark Viduka when he's not even in the same league and is now being linked with relegation cannon fodder down south.

some of the fans attitude towards Dembele is absolutely bizarre. choking to sell the biggest talent we've had at the club in years. oh and i see that cretin Forrest has took time out from constantly writing about Rangers on a site called the celticblog to talk shampooe about Dembele.
