People need to stop glossing over the fact that he's been bang average and if any other player showed a similar abject attitude then questions would be getting asked.

If we were to get anything like the figures mentioned (Brighton etc) then we should punt.

At the risk of Ste having some sort of fit I'll state that he is not good enough to play for a top EPL or European team.
Poor recently but the rest is nonsense. By far the best striker at the club and we would be selling ourselves massively l
short selling him for 18 million.

Gone straight to Paris from Dubai.
He’s been to Paris plenty of times since signing for us. Although if we were to sell him I wouldn’t say so no a big we’d get from PSG
Probably because he is from Paris :ffs:

I seen this ‘not good enough to play for a top EPL or European team’, and thought of that video of Walter Smith with Chick young.

I know he’s had a bad time this season, but you’re having a effin horrendous one right now.

Injuries and subsequent lack of game time have hampered him. He will have a strong second half of the season (if he stays injury free), then we will make a fortune in the summer.

Let's see who is nearer the mark over the next few years.
The fanboys or me.
I only care about Celtic not the short term aims of a player who won't see out two seasons with the club.

This is the Dembele thread. If you want to discuss my opinions on Griffiths give me a PM otherwise this'll just end up closed as well.

My give it a rest comment isn't aimed at his opinion re: Dembele as a footballer btw. More than happy to hear reasons why people don't rate him as much as I do.

I'll be honest. Much as I like big Moussa, I don't think he's good enough for a top Level EPL team. Nor a top European team either.

Maybe the step below for him initially. Doesn't mean we should accept 18m for him.

At 21 years old he's smashing it for France u21s, got a call up to the 30 man provisional France squad at a time when they have about 6-7 amazing forwards, scored a hat trick in his glasgow derby debut, scored vs BMG, PSG and 2x Man City in the CL group stages.

He's well on his way to becoming a top level player - if he isn't already.

Everything on that list was done over a year ago (France stuff aside, which is rather insignificant anyway because U21 football doesn't really mean a great deal and ultimately, he's not good enough to get a game for the full team yet).

Moussa has had a lot of injury problems this season but even when he has played, he hasn't looked very interested unless it was a "Big game". We all know he'll go at some point, but whilst he's here I would expect him to maintain the level he did last season. He definitely hasn't done that, and without wanting to get into an argument about what his value is, it's reasonable to say that it has dropped from this time last year.

I'd also imagine that his injury record might be putting off clubs from buying him; Rodgers has said that they have never received a bid for him. If he's got so much potential, and is so highly sought after, why has no team even attempted to buy him?

Was that PSG goal really over a year ago?

This season - scored winner in a semi final and clincher in final.

 Given we've come up against a few in the last 2 years- Messi, Suarez, Neymar, cavani, Lewandowski, Aguero, etc - folk should realise he's not at that level.

Wasn't disputing he couldn't hit a good penalty. ;)

He's not at the top level for EPL or European teams, yet. I like him very much but I don't see him in a top level team. He's not good enough yet.

That's why there is not teams battering down the door for him. Plus he's now got real injury issues.
