Wow. We sign a guy courted by some massive teams with glowing recommendations from the Real Madrid manager but people think he's amido balde. I know there are people who have never played football that watch it for whatever reason but leave the amateur scouting analysis at the door.

His movement was good
there is already an understanding with Griffiths
he won most of his aerial battles
Was unlucky not to score and is two weeks behind the rest of the teams in terms of fitness.

I'm new. Be gentle.
I said it when we signed him that Fulham fans weren,t crying over the loss of him. Most people on here made fun of me and my "imaginary" Fulham friend. I stand by what i said then, he dont seem to be the goalscorer that takes us into the CL this year and these matches doesnt change my mind. And people can say Lincoln alnt amateurs to defend him all they want, you dont need to be settled to score against a team from Gibraltar if you are a natural goalscorer..

Fair play to you chief, most peoples fantasy football friends would have been from a top 4 EPL team.

Showed enough to know there is a rough player there, he will be disappointed not to score but that will come.

Minor concern that him and Griffiths might not compliment each other as a front 2, but that too will hopefully come as the partnership gets game time.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
So far we have bought one player.
A striker who has yet to score.
I thought his touch tonight was poor.
At this point in time he looks just like any of the other 5 or 6 alleged strikers we have signed over the last few years.
I want him to be a success.
I want him to score a barrow load of goals.
I want him to be bleeding player of the season.
My eyes so far tell me different.......
Do you not think players need time to settle? He arrived after the hard graft of pre-season was done.

He needs time.

Comparing a guy who has represented France at every youth level to Amido Balde says more about you than it does about him.

To be fair to big Amido, he has represented the reigning European champions at every youth level up to U-20.

The Maestro

Thought his link up play was good and his movement was particularly impressive, often he was spinning in behind and the pass never came.

Needs to be move composed in front of goal but hopefully when he gets his first that will come.

Some of the comments about him are just bizarre.

Looked like a big donkey at times but he's clearly trying too hard and lacking a wee bit of fitness.

Hopefully he gets a bit more energy about him. He looked good when playing little link up passes and laying it off for others to run onto (Armstrong's penalty not penalty incident), but sometimes when he didn't get the pass he looked frustrated and turned his back to the ball rather than quickly re-position himself.

Hopefully BR can drill it into him to make himself more of a pest by constantly moving and dragging defenders out of position.

I think people need to remember this is a highly rated U21 internationalist and not a player in the prime of his career with years of experience - from what I've seen of him so far he's already better than most of the strikers we've had over the past 7-8 years. Goals will come and in abundance.

Pendy 12... "I know there are people who have never played football that watch it for whatever reason".

Why would you need to have played football to want to watch it? Bizarre remark.

Didn't see that at all. Thought he played the position well.

Will be a handful for opposition defenders and gives us a long-ball option which could be useful in Europe.

Some good movement and a decent touch, obviously keen to make an impression and maybe overly so, but that's hardly a bad thing. I think he'll do well.

Oh he's a vast improvement on some of the gash we've signed in recent years. He seemed to rush things a bit last night but maybe I was expecting too much from a young player who has just signed.

Certainly not writing him off and hopeful he can do the business but I wasn't massively impressed last night as some seem to be.

Happy to give the lad some time and see how he develops - would be good for him to get off the mark soon though and help him settle.

Overall there has been some positives to his play.

His link up play is impressive. There was a one lovely little flick in particular that put Leigh through on goal. Can't remember if Leigh missed or was just offside but was a lovely move.

He's getting into good positions and has a physical presence aswell.

The goals will come.
