Aye Sutton scored 6.

I must have been counting goals in qualifiers for Moussa. 4 in the group stages right enough.

500k

The manager has spoken, we don't need to sell and he'll be a huge factor if we're to get a EL going. For the first time in a long time the manager has the final say, no one will be old without his say so.
The manager doesn't have the final say in astronomical bids like £30m.

Mental to think that he does.
He has plenty time left on his contract - there's no reason to think that if he's worth £30m in January that he won't attract the same bids in the summer. If Rodgers tried to put his foot down and said that he could only be sold in the summer, I think the board would back him.

On what basis are you saynig that the manager has no say here? Something you've heard or something you've assumed? Obviously, if Rodgers was to say "refuse all bids and let him leave on a free at the end of his contract" Dembele would be sold from under him, but just delaying the sale for 6 months is totally different.

The sliced shot, might've been our best ever goal at this level - had it gone in.
The build up play against such an Elite team was fabulous.
Some of Moussa's game was great, some not so - just like the team.
He has already shown he can do it, he did so again last night - he's got the attitude to go to the very top.

Just wish he'd scored that goal - would've been a effing cracker!!

Miller v Lyon is our best goal at this level and would still be, if, that went in.

Griff in Brussels?
Nah, 26 passes before Miller's header, against one of the top sides in the CL, as Lyon were at the time.

I'd go as far as Miller's goal against Lyon, and the team's performance that night, is basically the Celtic of my lifetime at their peak.

Dembele wasn't worth the same in August of this year as he was in January.

If we receive a bid of £30m for a guy we paid 500k for 18 months after signing him that would almost triple our highest ever fee received. Rodgers would have about as much say in that transfer as he did in the Suarez to Barcelona one. Sometimes a deal comes along and its just too good not to accept. This would be one of them.

And if we reject a £30m bid for him are we going to offer him £100k a week to keep him happy? That's the going rate for a £30m player.

Sorry, I don't really know what 'did ye, aye?' means.

the thing with Naka's goal was everybody on the pitch knew exactly where he was putting it , and he still scored. I liked Moussas overhead against Citeh last year.

Yes. Yes all the way. Not the goal I celebrated the most, not the goal I've enjoyed the most, not my first nor fondest memory, but that whole match, missed penalty and all, is my peak watching Celtic as a team, and feeling closest to them as a supporter. The noise that night, the reverb from the roofs, the incessant singing, urging the team on....everything clicked, everything was in its right place. (Apart from me ironically enough, I swapped tickets so my mate's dad could sit beside him.)
