Needs to be starting now. He's vastly superior to Griffiths in every way.
Totally agree with this comment. Griffiths is an out and out finisher but just isn't an all round striker and needs support. Dembele did more in his first few minutes the other night than Griffiths in all the time he was on. Hopefully we qualify for the Europa league at least and we can get dembele and our centre backs fit as we'll look a different team then.

There is no doubt that Dembele needs a run of games to get up to speed. Griffiths is going through a poorer spell, and all strikers go through this. He has been superb for us whilst Dembele has been out though. We are fortunate that we have both.

He is a better all round player but he is certainly not a 'vastly superior' finisher.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if he's still here in February.

Dembele or Griffiths?

Either way, what's that opinion based on?

Looked up to speed for the first time since he was injured since April - Start him against hibs and we will win comfortably.

Yes, vastly.

He's a vastly better all round player. Griffiths was atrocious v Bayern the other night. He never looked like holding the ball up once meaning we couldn't get out at all. When Dembele came on suddenly we were getting up the pitch on numerous occasions because of his movement, strength, touch and ability to hold the ball up and bring others into play.

Yeah, but he is not a vastly superior finisher. The original post claimed that he was vastly superior in every way.

Big game for Dembele if he gets the start over Griffiths. He needs to get up to speed quickly and start contributing some goals to the team. Griffiths has been off the boil a little in the last few games. Griffiths is a great striker of a ball. He's an instinctive finisher in my opinion, the less time he has to think about it the better. I'm never confident in him finishing a one-on-one against anyone. Dembele is the better all round player, but he needs to start showing he is over his injuries and get back into beast mode asap.

Dembele, sorry.

Nothing concrete, just a hunch that the Edouard deal was structured to cash-in on Dembele in January, if the offer's right, and give us four months to really work out if Edouard's worth €6/7/8m (whatever it is)

dont think theres any chance of him leaving in january. we will only sell for a good price. we wont get that in january due to his time out unless he really bangs them in against psg and bayern in next 2 cl games

He needs game time to get fit so would be very surprised if he didn't start tomorrow.

I would play a Dembele on Saturday and the way we played on Wednesday he would have been the better option.I think he is better than Griffiths but he’s not massively better.I’ve seen dembele not just be anonymous in games but not look as though he isn’t trying.I feel Griffiths is a fall guy.People are picking on him saying he’s not a champions league player because he was poor on Wednesday but on that display you could say the same thing about the rest of the team.
