We need to do our absolute utmost to get this guy back fit for our opening CL game against PSG (where Dembele was once a youth player).

He has been out since the 19th of July with a hamstring injury, I'm sure the club will have given him the very best possible treatment for that between then and now. So hopefully he isn't too far away from running again as that's now been about 5-6 weeks he's had to recover.

It's vital that he uses these next two weeks during the international break to do his utmost to get himself back in some shape to play PSG. No harm to Griffiths who I think makes a fantastic striker for us on the domestic scene and he has shown what he can contribute to us also in the qualifiers, but I just feel we need someone up top with Moussa's size and presence/power if we are to stand a chance of causing an upset and having someone who can cause Thiago Silva and Marquinhos as many problems as possible.

Big Zlatan astounded the sports science guys with his recovery and he's almost 36. So hopefully Dembele can make a quicker recovery than is foreseen and maybe get the last 30 mins against Accies and then the first hour at least against PSG.
It was coming back too early at start of the season that done him in again. I'd rather lose him for the opening game and have him fit for the remaining 5 than the other way round. I'm sure the medical team are doing all they can.
I'm certain I read it was a Grade 2 hamstring tear he suffered after the game at home to Linfield, that was on July 19th.

On average it says Grade 2 hamstring tears take around 4-5 weeks to recover from, it's now been 6 weeks and with the best medical and recovery advice we provide I'm sure it's been mostly treated by now.

With still over 2 weeks until the PSG game I'm sure there is still enough time for him to make it, I hope so anyway because we really need someone with his size/presence/power up front in our CL games.

He certainly wont be fully match fit. May be able to make the bench.

Problem with Hamstring is it really can't be rushed as you're so likely to reinjure it if you do

And he already re-injured it. At least I think it was the same one as sevco semi-final.

I think he's still in France. If even close to a return he'd be back already doing work with the coaches.

He's started only a handful of games in 2017 due to a number of injuries. There is zero chance we will be taking any risk with him

Not as worried about this as I could be, even going into CL which is testament to Griffiths. If anything happens to him though :twitch:

He could have went to the likes of Marseille after Fulham. He's here for a reason and when he goes next year it will be to a bigger and better team than them. Very average side with some garbage defenders.

I don't like the fact the official Marseille account retweeted that news piece about him wanting to play for OM :suspect:
