35m would be a ridiculous price for an SPFL player.

I would love Moussa to stay but let's be realistic.

If the money is right then he goes. I'd rather he went to Milan- a genuine big club rather than a stoke or similar type.

Milan can sign him but they need to show us the money big time and I don't think they've got it
Milan are skint, not as skint as the huns but they aint got 10m never mind 30m to spend on Moussa
They're far from skint. Just been bought over. I'd hope that we get a bulk of the fee up front rather than installments.

Yeah they've been taken over.
I have the Borucs about me need to sell at the right time cause whatever value he has 30-40m it'll be the maximum. More to lose than gain as long as at least half of it is upfront

It would be disappointing to lose him after Paddy's gone as well.I think he would be happy to stay another season but if he's offered 5 times what we can pay him then of course there's a good chance he's away.It would take some signings to replace him and paddy.

In what universe is Moussa Dembele going to the likes of Stoke?

The one where Bournemouth are allegedly offering 130 grand a week to Defoe.

Good money for a player in the twilight of his career. Crazy from Bournemouth's perspective.
The fact MD came to Celtic rather than Tottenham tells me he'll do better than Stoke & their ilk

Defoe will score at least 10 if he stays fit - if they stay up, he'll have made them multiple times what they're paying him. Seems mad but it's a pretty safe bet.

I guess that makes sense. I'm just gobsmacked that Bournemouth have 130k PW to throw about on one player - fitba world has gone mad.
Makes it even more of an achievement when teams like us & others in similar positions do well in CL/Europa

Incredible that any EPL team could afford Dembele. I laugh when I hear Sky and Talksport moan about players going to China for the money. The EPL is built on the TV money and don't like it up them.

Only reason Defoe would get that is the fact he's on a free.

If Bournemouth have identified they need a striker, they may have set aside a budget for this... wildly speculating say they've set aside 20mil.. which is not a lot by EPL standards for a proven goal scorer in the EPL.

Defoe is free, scores the goals to keep Sunderland up, will continue to score and is a current England international. A 2 year deal free but using the budget to pay his wages

20 million / 104 = 190k p/w
Or a nice 5 million sign on fee and £130k P/W - still cheaper than paying 20mill for 1 player.

- they probably save money if they get Defoe on that outrageous monthly wage because forking out money for a proven EPL scorer who will get them 15-20 goals will cost more than that.

He didn't choose us over Spurs.

The deal fell through for him to go to Spurs in January.

From Football 365, this is interesting:

Something fissy
Rugby journalist Neil Fissler is getting something of a reputation for football exclusives in the Sunday Express. On March 5, for example, he ‘exclusively’ told us that Max Allegri had agreed a contract to take over at Arsenal. And then on March 19 he ‘exclusively’ told us that Arsene Wenger had agreed a new one-year contract. Which is quite the remarkable double of a) utterly contradicting himself and b) being wrong twice.
On Sunday, it was another back-page ‘exclusive’ from Arsenal, with Arsene Wenger apparently ready to pay a world-record £95m for Kylian Mbappe. And as we have already seen, Fissler is the man to trust when it comes to Arsenal exclusives. He does not just have the inside track; he lives there.

In fact, he is so busy living on the inside track that he apparently has absolutely zero grasp of the English language. Quite how this got past a single sub is astonishing…

‘Monaco have already knocked out an offer of £105m…’

‘The teenager is the hottest property in European football this summer after playing a starring role during Monaco’s run of the semi-finals of the Champions League.’

‘He is also on the radar of the Manchester giants United and City but Arsenal are seeking to steel a march on both of them.’

‘Monaco are determined to keep hold of their most prized asset but it seems that their won’t be any let up with the bids from clubs wanting to sign him.’

‘And the best way would be to land a marquee signing like Mbappe who has been likened to a Thierry Henry to Wenger helped shaped into a Gunners legend.’

Excuse us while we refuse to believe a single thing he has ever writed about football.

Fisser is the journalist who wrote the Moussa to Milan story.
