Starved of decent service too lads, deliveries been in short supply of late as the team looks more tentative, hopefully young men feeling the strain and it will pass.

3 really, St Mirren game anaw but he still scored. I thought he was a bit better today but still no great. Id play him v hearts and tbh i dont see Rodgers dropping him for Griffith's at this moment in time anyway.

Something that seems to be apparent with Dembele is that there are no half measures. He is either unplayable or completely off the pace. I think this can be put down to the fact that he is still very young, but also the type of player he is - explosive, powerful - means that he finds it hard to go "back to basics" when things arent coming off. When things are not happening, other players are maybe able to try keeping it simple, win the ball, play the pass, dont over exert. Dembele doesnt really seem to have a "basic" part of his game that he can rely on. Perhaps he could work on simply being a physical presence and holding the ball up. Hopefully that will come with time.

Hit the nail on the head for me with this.
Its easy to forget how young he is still and sometimes I guess we can all be guilty of expecting a little too much.

I'd say he did some of that at Ibrox. The service to him wasn't great but he held the ball up, worked his balls off and played with a lot of maturity. He has bad games now and again but I think people expect too much.

Someone mentioned earlier that a rumour to that effect had started based on BR's body language, but I don't think it has been confirmed by anyone who would really know for sure. I personally have my doubts as to it's accuracy because it seems to me subs are usually only warming up and stretching and I've only ever seen them do so at a fairly leisurely pace. It would surprise me if they were being told to "step up" the pace of this warming up process. But then I'm no fitness expert, so maybe others know better.
I watched it with my own eyes. He shouted over to Roberts kouassi and griff to up it and do some faster movement. Griff looked back as if to go "me?" While the other two done what was asked. Rodgers looked back over and seen this, looked raging then only shouted on the two who complied.
Fair enough

That game at Ibrox was one of his best. His contribution in terms of hold up play was as good as he's been this season.

The game against Motherwell recently is the best i've seen him when he was on the ball.

If he could combine those two performances consistently, well, he won't be here.

Took me a minute to translate that to "taut"

That must've been a quick article to write - have a quick glance at Dortmund's and Monaco's squads and you're about 80% of the way there.

He was really pretty bad for the first half hour at Ibrox. Everything was bouncing off him.

Second half is about the best he's played for us.
