Good bit better than last week, but a bit like Tierney, Sinclair and Brown something's just no quite there the now.
Wee break will do him good. It's easy to forget he's still a young player.
Hopefully his muscle strain will see him pull out of the under 21 squad. Could do with a rest by the looks of him.

He was so good in February that a bit of dip was to be expected. This international break will hopefully rejuvenate everyone for the final phase of the season.

wasn;t the best today but still got himself involved in a goal and held the ball up well at times.

Up side of today (and the host of other woeful performances that have punctuated his season) is that it hopefully makes him realise he'd be daft to move in the summer. Nowhere near consistent enough and can still add more to his game -- something that few clubs will give him time to do.
This.

Needs to improve his touch before any 20m+ signings are done for starters.

2 or even 3 more seasons would do him the world of good. Hope he and his agent realise it.
His touch is fine. Pitch was rotten. I hope he stays but he can also improve in a better league.
He fell over the ball twice today in 2 minutes.

The pitch wasn't rotten. It's one of the better ones we'll play on this season. Much better than CP's.

I'm not saying he has a bad touch fwiw. Usually it's fine but it, along with other areas of his game, is rough around the edges. Staying here a wee while yet will help him to become the complete player he clearly can be. Leaving too early and sitting on a bench is going to seriously halt his development.

He tends to have a heavy touch when running with the ball, hitting it too far ahead ad spoiling a promising breakaway twice today. Was surprised he wasn't subbed once we went 2 up.

Maybe because Griffiths has similar problems running with the ball, and is slower.

He used his bulk to help us see out the last few minutes.

He wasn't subbed as our other option on the bench ignored the managers instruction to up the pace while warming up

He actually did very well for that second goal. He was nowhere near his best but he gave Dundee a lot to think about.

So that was more important than leaving a guy on the pitch who was playing with the touch of a baby Giraffe? Nearly cost us.

no it didnt. not even close. putting eboue and roberts on for forrest and mcgregor nearly cost us, not leaving dembele on.

either way, IF the above poster is correct then it is course more important that the manager doesnt back down if someone is ignoring his instructions. again IF that is true i can see another slight injury on the way

I wouldn't be 'resting' him until the league is won and even then. He'll have a quiet period every now and then and IMO doesn't deserve to be dropped for the title clincher.....

....against Thistle. :bawman:

Leave him in for the Hearts game. Once we wrap up the title, let Griffiths have a run of three games. Then Moussa back in for the huns.

Bad game but I think he can get away with a few bad games considering what he's done so far this season. As has been said an International Break where he's not having to get booted around by Scottish defenders will probably do him some good.

Roberts and Khouassi did the damage

I've no interest in seeing a player unwilling to follow the instructions of the manager.

The cult of Commons has now swung behind another dissident lefty.

Someone mentioned earlier that a rumour to that effect had started based on BR's body language, but I don't think it has been confirmed by anyone who would really know for sure. I personally have my doubts as to it's accuracy because it seems to me subs are usually only warming up and stretching and I've only ever seen them do so at a fairly leisurely pace. It would surprise me if they were being told to "step up" the pace of this warming up process. But then I'm no fitness expert, so maybe others know better.

I watched it with my own eyes. He shouted over to Roberts kouassi and griff to up it and do some faster movement. Griff looked back as if to go "me?" While the other two done what was asked. Rodgers looked back over and seen this, looked raging then only shouted on the two who complied.

He has had two poor games in a row, not sure that necessitates him being dropped to be honest
