He was very good before, but since that goal at Ibrox he seems to have moved up a few levels. Must be terrifying for the opposition when he's coming at you full pelt.
I think today was his best performance for us to date. He was full of confidence from first touch to close control, to passing and shooting. I'm tending to think this confidence is coming from the good coaching he is receiving, because in some of those areas he had not exactly been a model of consistency.

CeltN - 30/6/16

I thought that we would attract quality players here with BR as the new man in charge. I hoped he would be allowed to sign players himself and not be pushed around like Ronny was.

This signing doesn`t make me happy at all. Dembele aint the man to shoot us into the Champions League again. A friend of mine is a Fulham supporter and i asked him what he feels about this and how he rates him as a player.

He said: There is a reason why he didn`t end up in a big club in a big league. If he is SUCH A BIG talent why did no one else sign when he was out of contract? Wouldn`t cost Tottenham more than 1 weeks wage for a average player in their team to sign him

The kid has potential but unfortunately he`s got a ego that is bigger than the talent. Very frustrating player to watch because if he aint having the day he is barely working for the team.
He went 11 games without scoring in 14/15 and last season he had 13 games in a row without goals where he was completely uninterested in contributing to the team.
17 goals is good and makes many think of him as a bargain but look behind the numbers and see what we get against because of his attitude and he aint worth more than a striker who scores 9-10 goals. Football is a two way game. If Cauley (Woodrow) looses the ball he works like a champ and break up the counter attack. Moussa just throws his arms out and walk back to the offside line. Learn the kid that he aint more important than the team and he could be a very good player in Scotland.

Seems we got a very raw talent here guys. Hopefully we can make something out of him but i would prefer a striker who has experience and can handle the pressure. In a CL playoff we need those who are on 100% for 90 minutes. Not just the 13min they are working for themselfes. Hope i am wrong but not what i expected from BR.
You are one cruel dude.

I'm at the point now where I don't care how much we could sell him for, I'd like to keep him then let him go for free at the end of his current deal if he continues improving at a similar rate for the next four years. He'll make us plenty of money if he stays anyway. I just want to watch him playing for Celtic for as long as possible

£40m in the bank wouldn't be compensation for the pleasure of watching performances like that each week.

Superb signing.

As a season ticket holder for 6 years at Fulham I have seen a fair bit of him. Pace, power, direct but also with a good bit of skill he has all the tools. To be a top class striker. Although he is built like a tank his hold up play is not the best however we always played two up top so it didn't need to be.

With the exception of a six week window when he didn't get his move to Spurs (and was a moody teenager) he was outstanding last season and a massive loss for Fulham, luckily my second team.

To put it in context, very few were concerned when Roberts left as he did not really achieve anything in the first team. Everyone was gutted about Dembele leaving. Someone I worked with had very good links to the club and could not speak highly enough about both Roberts and Dembele with regards to thier maturity and how down to earth they were.
Not all Fulham fans were as bitter.

Aye, he's still running into 2 or 3 defenders as if he expects to just run through them and retain possession :cuckoo: and at times his first touch sees the ball bounce off him but he's still then going on to skin one defender, outmuscle another and scud the ball into the top corner

Regarding McCann's ludicrous comments, no one asked him if he was as good as or better than the KOK. Which he's not, but he has about a decade to catch up! He is however the best striker we've had since Henrik.

As I get older, I am learning to keep quiet about certain things and not to always bite when I am not happy.

But I have been on the Dembele thread since day 1 and I feel most people were of the impression that he was a great prospect. However a few people were judging him on 3 games which is crazy in hindsight but that's the way football forums go.

No point with the dick measuring. I done the same with Wanyama after a few games so I have learned my lesson.

19 at the time, new country, new team so to be where he is, in a mere 8-9 months later is a testament to him and the management team.

Reading between the lines he will stay for at least another season and I could see us having a wee squeak in the group stages next year with a decent draw. So lets hope we can get through the qualifiers without a fuss.

I didn't see Larsson at 20 but I seriously doubt he was as good as Demble at that age.

McCann made a real stupid comment and couldn't help himself by implying that without a 'strong rangers' the goals are not as impressive as Larsson's scoring exploits.
