For some reason during the second half I kept thinking about Carlton Cole's classic goal at Inverness.

I thought that we would attract quality players here with BR as the new man in charge. I hoped he would be allowed to sign players himself and not be pushed around like Ronny was.

This signing doesn`t make me happy at all. Dembele aint the man to shoot us into the Champions League again. A friend of mine is a Fulham supporter and i asked him what he feels about this and how he rates him as a player.

He said: There is a reason why he didn`t end up in a big club in a big league. If he is SUCH A BIG talent why did no one else sign when he was out of contract? Wouldn`t cost Tottenham more than 1 weeks wage for a average player in their team to sign him

The kid has potential but unfortunately he`s got a ego that is bigger than the talent. Very frustrating player to watch because if he aint having the day he is barely working for the team.
He went 11 games without scoring in 14/15 and last season he had 13 games in a row without goals where he was completely uninterested in contributing to the team.
17 goals is good and makes many think of him as a bargain but look behind the numbers and see what we get against because of his attitude and he aint worth more than a striker who scores 9-10 goals. Football is a two way game. If Cauley (Woodrow) looses the ball he works like a champ and break up the counter attack. Moussa just throws his arms out and walk back to the offside line. Learn the kid that he aint more important than the team and he could be a very good player in Scotland.

Seems we got a very raw talent here guys. Hopefully we can make something out of him but i would prefer a striker who has experience and can handle the pressure. In a CL playoff we need those who are on 100% for 90 minutes. Not just the 13min they are working for themselfes. Hope i am wrong but not what i expected from BR.

Unplayable. I'm really enjoying the confidence with which he's flying around the pitch with the ball at the moment - that's something which has taken a crazy leap forward since he started with us and it's fast becoming his most dangerous attribute. He's got an (improving but as of yet) unrefined touch which, coupled with his huge frame and burning pace, makes him a prospect I don't think many defenders will enjoy the thought of. Hopefully he gets his full French call up and is convinced he's in the right place for the next 2/3 years.

Henke was/is my hero. Not ashamed to say, as a professional man in my 40s that I loved him, and always will. Similarly, not ashamed to say that his leg-break in Lyon made me feel physically sick, and that I wept at his final game. He was my hero, a truly world class player, a genius of a man, who was good enough to bless us with his genius for seven years. My boys are soon to have pasted on their wall an enormous print of him, with tongue out, just after scoring THAT goal in the 6-2 game.

All this being said, I do not doubt that Dembeélé will be a better player than the KoK. It would pain me to say it if he played for anyone else, but he doesn't. He won't be ours for seven years, but he is ours now. The boy is absolutely immense. The best 20 year old I have ever seen in the flesh. His only realistic comparator in recent. times is (the original) Ronaldo.

I only hope we can hold on to him for as long as possible. Barring some freak injury, Moussa will be running riot for the next decade with whatever team he decides to grace.

This is way over the top.

The idea that Moussa's only real comparator in recent times is bloody Ronaldo is off-the-reservation stuff.

He's phenomenal, but come on.

I missed all of the piss-taking of my post, and you misunderstood what I said. My view is that Dembele is the best 20 year old striker I have ever seen, and that the only player of that age I could compare him with was Ronaldo when he was 20. It's not that effing hard to understand.

So, will say it again. Dembele is the best striker of his age I have ever seen in the flesh. The only player I can compare him to is (the original) Ronaldo. That is due to considerable similarities in physique and style, at the age of 20. Dembele is not as pacy, and I am not saying he is a better player, only that he is the only player I could compare him to at the age of 20.

Given his ability at the age he is, I do not doubt that he will become a better player that the King of Kings. He is not as good, yet, as Henke in his peak, but he will be.

World class tonight. He's improving all the time and it's frightening to think he's young and will get even better.I would rather see him play another 3 seasons for us and leave for nothing than sell him for £40M in the summer.
This.

I would have taken the money perhaps even in January but the more he plays and develops he becomes a phenomenon.

At 20 years old, all this £40m business is becoming a bit silly, he has the potential to go for way more than that.

Outstanding talent, he's growing as a footballer at an alarming rate.

You have scored 31 goals....... That's my job

Also asked on what his target is and he says he is not telling.

Re his target he's said previously he has one but won't reveal it, I think he may just have passed it.
#goingfor55

Enjoy every minute of him, lhads - he unfortunately won't be ours forever.
Lets enjoy him as though he was here for another 10 years. Only way to be.
