Yep, I reckon he'll leave for free like he did at Fulham. I got a strange feeling that was his thing or something. :ph43r:

I don't think we can do much about it if that's what he wants, we could accept a 50m bid and he if knocks the move back then that's that. If we could force players to move on then there are a few at the club we would have booted out by now.

Also 4 years of CL cash outweigh a £40m transfer. So if he goes we do well, if he stays we do well. Win win

If he helped bag us 30m a year for the next 3 years I'd guess we'd consider it

Win win for everyone.

I can't see him turning down a big move to a big club if we accept an offer

If anyone thinks for a millisecond that the board will let him run down his contract you must be new supporters to the club :cuckoo:

We all want him to stay but there is not a hope in hell Moussa will be allowed to run down his contract. He will be offered improved terms in the next year or so but if he knocks them back he will be sold.

Champions League qualification or not we all know how the strategy works. He won't be allowed to leave for free.

You can't sell him though if he doesn't want to go.

I agree if one of the Euro giants came in for him he would go.

Then again maybe he's one of these strange guys that actually honours a contract then walks head held high.

God forbid he gets a terrible injury, but otherwise it is win win for us.

It's refreshing to read of an agent not willing to pimp his client out just so the agent can get a bigger slice of the pie.

Seems like young Moussa has some really savvy people guiding him.

Cracking article to be fair.

The club is in a very good place at the moment and, whether you want to call it a stepping stone or career progression, Celtic is undoubtedly a very credible and attractive proposition for talented, aspiring young footballers right now. Which is nice.

We're becoming what Ajax and Porto were about a decade ago.

A destination for young players to make their mark as well as a destination for more experienced, quality pros to win trophies and compete in Europe, with the eye on achieving something notable on that platform - last 16 / QF....or even a EL SF or Final :o

I hope he does stay for 4 years. Couldn't give a toss about the money, if we get to keep Moussa for another three seasons.

I'm fairly sure they don't get anywhere near the full transfer fee when they sell a player either.
