Best striker since Larsson.

I may actually weep when he leaves.
Never thought I'd see a better striker than Larsson at Celtic, but I think Dembele, at twenty, seems to be on a different level.
His control, vision, pace, physicality all belie his age. He also seems to be a highly intelligent mature guy. eff knows how good he will become , but at this stage he seems to have all the attributes to be a great on the world stage.
Whoa whoa whoa whoa!

Easy tiger.
It's not that crazy.

If he's scored 26 in half a season, imagine what he'd be capable of if he stayed the same seven years that Larsson did?

Factor in modest personal improvement of 10-15% per year on top of that, and who's to say how good he'd be?

He may very well go on to be better than Henrik, the worlds at his feet. He won't be at Celtic when he reaches that level though :(

Dembele at twenty is better than Larsson was at twenty? - No idea.

He is going to be the best striker in the world.

Only thing thats obvious he needs to improve on is his first touch when holding the ball up. Seems to bounce off him more times than not.

Alas, that is true.

And why I think that we'll remember Larsson more fondly, but Dembele is an absolute pleasure to have here for a couple of years.

His exact words were "I never thought I'd see a better striker AT CELTIC than Larsson".

He is not better than Larsson. Far from it at the moment.

Dembele has the world at his feet though.

See your point, could have made myself clearer.
I first saw Larsson in the early 90's playing for Sweden and while showing nice touches, didn't give an indication of how good he'd go on to be.
Debele, taking into account the quality of some of the opposition, looks, to me, a better player at the same age.

Never suggested for a moment that he was.

All I said is that it wasn't a completely crazy suggestion that he'll end up being better.

Sadly, this is unlikely to be at Celtic, but we can enjoy him while he's here.

Henrik has been gone for 13 years. There's a generation out there, including loads on here, that either never saw him play or were too young to appreciate him.

He was something very very special. I doubt I'll ever see better in the hoops.

Dembele is fantastic and has every attribute to go on to be one of the best in the world. It's easy to get carried away in praising him but he's a long way to go before we can compare him with Larsson.

Excellent player, obviously.

I believe he will stay for another season after this one then shoot, god knows how his game will be by then but he will obviously break the transfer record when he goes.

As a fellow smoker I found Henrik to be far more inspirational.

That said Moussa drives me to wash my teeth more vigorously.

Henrik's was miles farther out and against Canizares. Sorry but it wasn't anything like it.
