If he gets capped for France when playing for us, he will go for the daft figures being bandied about. Is he worth it? no one is, but it`s the going rate in a crazy market.

Glad he`s staying, I wonder if he went down and told them to do one, I can`t quite buy the knee thing. People keep forgetting there a a reason he came to us in the first place and knocked back interest from clubs who trawl young players like Chelsea and then farm them out...he wants to play and get better,he`s in a great place to do it.
Agree with this. It's a nice change from players chasing the money. A young guy with a mature head who knows he's in the best place possible to develop his skills and knowledge of the game. I'm sure his agent will know how much he could have earned in the summer or could earn should he bow out early. Takes balls to turn down the crazy EPL money.

(I'll press 'post' here and then read he's off to Chelsea for a million a week lol).
I think he is getting some sound advice from his agent, I don't buy it for a minute that he hasn't signed a boot deal yet because he likes to wear different ones just whatever feels comfortable. He's waiting for the the week of his big transfer then he's asking for a Rooney level boot deal.

And I hope he gets it too, I'm glad he's still here with us and I hope he stays as long as he wants.

"His ... age, a little bit more"

What the eff you on about?

At the end of the summer window he'll be 21 years old.
21 is a little bit more than 20, mate.

What are the chances that in a few years, we will see France international football from him, I just think that we should have cashed in here.

High chance he'll play a full international before the next transfer window.

Pretty good chance TBH :ponder:
I'm delighted we haven't sold him. Come the CL qualifiers in the
summer, we will have a settled BR Celtic side. If we qualify again and don't get a bastard of a group like last time, we could be confident of getting 3rd place as a bare minimum. Dembele is our player and we hold all the aces

From all the media attention the bhoy's getting in France i'd be surprised if he wasn't included in an upcoming squad. He's a different player to the rest of their attackers and could definitely add something they've not got up front. If that is the case and he's given a cap or 2 we could be looking at a genuine £35/40m bid in the summer for him. :twitch:

If they did he wouldn't admit it. Bad PR getting telt to do one by a Scottish club. I believed him though as we would have folded if the bid was genuine unless BR gave the board an ultimatum

At training the squad should all adopt the Wolf Of Wall Street pose when the bigman turns up. Fitting tribute :worthy:

I honestly wouldn't be. He loves it here and knows this is the best place for his development. Plenty of domestic goals and shine on the CL stage and he will have his pick of any of the top teams.

We will get next season out of him as well and more than likely he will go after that. Unless a silly bid does actually come in.

Contes denying Chelsea made a bid
BBC gossip column quoting The Times report that Chelsea bid £35M for him :

Chelsea had a £35m bid for 20-year-old Celtic striker Moussa Dembele turned down and failed to land Inter Milan midfielder Jonathan Biabiany, 28. (Times) you can only read The Times article online if you have a subscription though.

Personally I think it makes sense for the club, though I do find it hard to believe. Dembele might be one of the main reasons we qualify for the group stages of the CL next year, how much is that worth?

Plus from now on, whenever he's mentioned dan sarf it'll be with 'Dembele, who was the subject of a failed £35 million bid by Chelsea, scored again...' the longer he's mentioned alongside those kind of figures the better for us.
