Delighted he's staying. At this rate we'll be lucky to keep him in the summer window. Hopefully if he goes then a loan back deal can be arranged with the buying club.

eff the money. He made that getting us to the champions league. Hopefully will do the same next season , we would never have invested all that anyway. Not in a million years . Having him here is better. He will still go for monster money eventually

Time will tell just how much Moussa will go for.
We don't want to lose ANY first team player at a time when we can't make a significant addition to counter such a loss.
However, IF he is to go in the summer, then unless he gets a French cap and/or scores a barrel load for us between then, then I'm not sure his value will rise any more than his stock currently is.
Could it rise? With the possibility of the Chinese (great bunch of lads) throwing even more mental money at the English clubs in the summer, then there's a chance this may well accommodate a significant hike in Moussa's value, however, with his contract being a little less long, and his age, a little bit more, then I think if we are offered something around the £30m-40m mark, we will allow him to go with much praise.

Football/injuries/loss of form etc mean there's always a gamble, one which could mean the player becomes worth a shadow of the figures banded around right now.

I hope for him, and for our finances, it works out just perfectly.
Glad to have him, would be even happier to find out WE DID reject a bid, which shows we won't just lift our skirt to the first team which comes along but at the moment, everything appears to be speculation and heresay.
Perhaps all will become clearer over the next few days.

Probably based on an article in British medias, based on an article in the French press, based on a news on Sky, based on...., based on a rumour made from an educated guess after West Ham alleged bid.

If he gets capped for France when playing for us, he will go for the daft figures being bandied about. Is he worth it? no one is, but it`s the going rate in a crazy market.

Glad he`s staying, I wonder if he went down and told them to do one, I can`t quite buy the knee thing. People keep forgetting there a a reason he came to us in the first place and knocked back interest from clubs who trawl young players like Chelsea and then farm them out...he wants to play and get better,he`s in a great place to do it.

Live update (almost) I'm just off the delayed LCY-GLA flight and our bhoy Moussa and his agent were in the on the same flight. I can report our £40 million player was walking with no sign of a limp.

Agree with this. It's a nice change from players chasing the money. A young guy with a mature head who knows he's in the best place possible to develop his skills and knowledge of the game. I'm sure his agent will know how much he could have earned in the summer or could earn should he bow out early. Takes balls to turn down the crazy EPL money.

(I'll press 'post' here and then read he's off to Chelsea for a million a week lol).

At the end of the summer window he'll be 21 years old.
