£40m
A direct quote from Rangers Media ;)

Absolutely no chance Dembele's leaving in the next 29 hours.
If £40m is put on the table, I'd say it would be less than 24 hours.
24 seconds would be nearer

Chelsea won't be paying £40m for Dembele. Not in a million years.

£40m - jeezo.

It's hard to see anyone offering that for him yet, but surely we'd accept that if they did?

Of course we would and rightly so but it won't happen this window.

of course we would, quite rightly too, although I'd be chucking in a wee 20% sell on clause too. disnaeaskdisnaeget csc

I like dembele but for £40m he'd be off like a shot

the big question is who do we get in to replace him, Rooney for Dembele would be a massive boot in the baws

Why the rush to sell, even for £40 million? Clubs will be queuing up to offer silly money for Dembele for the next three years. Barring a career threatening injury, we can cash in any time we like. Besides, selling him could cost us £30 million if it results in failure to qualify for next season's CL group stages. I'd like to see us show some ambition here and hang onto our best player for more than one transfer window.

If this is true, then it prolly means that Chelski haven't been able to increase Costa's contract enough to keep him at the club.

Which prolly means that Diego's off to China in the summer (prolly for a lot more than £40m).

Can't see Rodgers being happy, if, after failing to get in the 3 players ('at least') that he wanted during this window, we end up disposing of our prize asset instead.

If Chelsea want him then money doesn't matter. They've brought in a shampoo load from selling players to China to supplement their already ridiculous income from CL, Prem etc. Like when Liverpool paid a fortune for Andy Carroll using the Torres money.

Would Dembele qualify as a home grown player for them in their squad as well?

That's an article from april when he was at Fulham. Could be the case he was looked at by Chelsea and they have continued to monitor him. The figure wouldn't surprise me though as there was talk of them throwing huge amounts at llorente of Swansea.

40m will rebuild our whole squad. He'll be gone if that type of money is on offer.

Aye. Spent the required period at Fulham.

If we receive a £40m offer, its a no-brainer.
